Unless you want to be part of some sort of pyramid scheme, do not interview here. I submitted my resume via Career Builder and immediately received a call from a lady named Aggie in Michigan. The conversation was great, very interested in me and she gave me a time and date to interview with Mr. Jimenez in Miami Beach.  The following day when I arrived to the interview I noticed there where quite a few people, over 20 people, in a conference room.  I asked Mr. Jimenez if this was a group interview and his reply was "this is not the way I normally do things, I always do "one on one" but we received high demand so I was to meet all of you at once. I later find out it was a lie, and he always holds these "interviews" like this.  It wasnt an interview.  He goes over how much money you can make, "over $80,000" in your first year.  That should have been my sign to get up and leave, but I didnt want to be rude.  His presentation took about an hour and he states that we are all welcomed to do the training course which lasts 6 days and we get paid $500 for the training.  The catch is you get the $500 after you bring in 6 accounts. LOL.  That was classic pyramid scheme.  This was a waste of my time and for a few others whom I met outside.  Times are tough and I bet some people would give it a try, luckily for me and for the internet I was able to read more about this company and know it is a scheme.

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

As a 20 year veteran of HR recruiting, I always welcome feedback (positive and negative) to improve performance and operations. However when people misuse terminology and make accusatory statements that are not based in fact I must refute. This is the definition of a pyramid scheme; A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves promising participants payment primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than from any real investment or sale of products or services to the public. Not once in Merchants Hub hiring process or in our work environment are you as an Account Executive EVER involved in any recruitment, enrollment etc. of other individuals with regards also to promises of payment. This reference is OFTEN used incorrectly on the internet by uninformed individuals. Furthermore the screening process Merchant Hub has perfected is based on hiring for outside sales people. True outside sales professionals understand the importance of interaction with other individuals an assessment that Merchant Hub directors can make in a group type setting. To be able to sell our products and services successfully there is a great deal of interaction with business owners of all levels. We also have a four step process in our hiring model that does involve a personal one on one meeting with the hiring director. Had this above individual gone through the entire process and not just the first meeting they would have been privy to our model. Merchant Hub is experiencing impressive growth rates due to the fact we are able to save clients substantially on their credit card processing services and equipment. We are very serious in our intent to take customer service to an entirely new level. Merchant Hub is a trusted partner in the industry offering Merchants and Financial Institutions the ability to process transactions, improve cash flow and provide superior risk management solutions. If you are considering a future with a company that desires to give their Account Executives all the skills for success then visit us online to see our full product service offerings.
