Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

The place makes you join for a year and then will not let you out of the contract. I have had 3 message sessions and all 3 have left me in terrible pain. Called company and was told don't ask for deep tissue however I have never asked for deep tissue and the last time I went I explained to therapist that I had been sore after last two sessions. I reported this to the company and was told well you can get facials instead. I did not join for facials and no longer wish to have anyone give me any further messages. This is a rip off they are hurting people and then telling them to bad you signed a contract. I am going to purse damages and speech to an attorney and I advise anyone who has had the same thing happen to do the same. This is an unethical way of doing business and it needs to be stopped! This company is causing people physical damage and should be held accountable for it and at the very least should not be allowed to have this type of buisness practice.

I aksed if I brought in a doctors note if that would allow me to cancel contract and they said no. To get out of providing bad message therapy they offer you facials instead. The name of the comapny is message envy and you are lead to believe the facials are just an extra service they provide.

No one is keeping you in that contract but YOU!

MAN UP! and tell them to take a hike!

Sounds like they're not living up to their end anyway. (not providing good service)

Talk to your bank or credit card company asap.

SCREW EM!

#3UPDATE EX-employee responds

I am really sorry that anyone would hurt you.  I worked for Massage Envy and I love it. The downfall is the only requirements are your license and a practical.  It differs from one to the other who judges the practical but since it is a franchise, it could be anyone.  I think this is wrong.  Anyone can own a Massage Envy with the right $ down.  Anyway, if you have a Dr's note stating that you no longer are able to recieve massages you should be able to get out of that.  Also, for future reference, make sure you ask questions about your therapist.  You have that right.  Ask questions like how long have they been licensed and where did they attend school.  Sometime a Massage Envy will hire a student who just graduated and passed their test. The reason for that is the hourly pay is so low that not a lot of experience massage therapist care to work for the amount of money they start at.  (it's actually a joke and an insult to a lot of therapist) Everyone needs to start somewhere but with the potential to cause pain like they have to you with their inexperience is a tragedy.  I wish i lived near you so I could help. I am one of few who truly love my profession and am not just in it to make $.  I want each person I touch to have a better life once I am done.  I hope that you will be able to obtain a note from your dr.  If you don't get that note or they still won't let you out with a note, then my thoughts and prayers are with you.  Maybe you could just go to a different Massage Envy and find someone that will actually help you.  I hope that what I have said will help you in some way!!
