I sent a $449.00 money order to MGR Today and was told that I would receive a packet in the mail to complete. Ethan Blake, which from what I understand now, really is a fake name stated that anytime in the process I could cancel my order - no questions would be asked and that I would receive my money back ASAP. When I received the packet, I was devastated. It was the very same questionaire that I had completed online for no charge at all. I immediately called MRG and told them that I was sending the packet back and I would comply with the guidelines outlined in the very back of the packet. He stated in a very RUDE manner that I would not ever receive my money back. I informed him that the so called packet the company sent to me is the very one I had complete online with no charge at all. He had no response to that except that I would not receive my money back. Please help! I have done everything outlined in the packet to receive my refund and I have not to this date - received anything - the packet was mailed back to MGR on October 31 and received by them on November 3, 2006. These people even stated they work for the federal government - do they? Thank you so very much for your time and I ver much hope to hear from you soon.

I'm not sure if anyone else was contacted by a Sarah Falcon. But she too has ripped me off for the 449.00. She suggested that I had to get the money in by a certain date to receive the GRANT by a certain deadline. That however was not the case. She claimed that the money did not get their before the deadline so I was going to have to wait 6 months to receive the grant. So I filled out the same paper work sent the packet in, etc. My response was the same as everyone elses. We will make sure to get you your grant by such and such date. To no prevail. I think your best bet is to just go visit Mr. MGR. And meet with them face to face...! Nicholas J. ****

Tammy, you seem rather hell-bound. I know it might seem like they've taken your soul (to a degree), but why don't we just calm down a little and face the fact that people are pissed and there's at least some absolution to this mess. Personally, I'll try to find out as much as I can. If I get anywhere, this forum will know.

MGR - RIPOFF OF THE CENTURY

I sincerely doubt that you will ever see any results from MGR. They are scam artists and the only thing they work hard at is ripping honest people out of their money. But, what is done in the dark will be brought to light. They will be caught and some day soon they will be brought to justice. I am working daily to make sure this happens. MRG - you haven't heard the last of me!

I know what you're feeling right now, I've been getting impatient for almost a year now. Just hang in there; they have some results to show. I don't know if they're reputable results though. That being said, I've been a client of MGR Solutions since August of 2006, and I sent a business plan incorporated with my personal information packet so they could draft a grant propsal for me. It's rather strange, but I've been told by their customer service staff for almost a year now that I was to be receiving a grant. However, just recently, I've been given a 90% approval rating, which rendered a call from a manager who sent me a PDF file which listed 15 agencies that have accepted my grant proposal. Although, when I called each agency subsection, none of them had my name, or my file on record, and the SBA never accepts anything without a personalized application. That, and it seems like all the grant agencies that hey sent to me have never even heard of MGR Solutions. This is highly troublesome. As of now, I'm questioning who is responsible for writing my grant proposal as well as which third-party firms they used to obtain the "approval" status that they claim so highly of. That being said, according to their managers, I'm currently 95% complete with recieving my grant funds. That, and I'm wondering how they can accomplish anything without sending us applications from each agency to fill out so they (the staff of MGR Solutions) can revise them to recieve a higher status of approval. I don't know if truth is the proper term; now it's their credibility that I've begun to question. In any case, I have another two months to see where MGR Solutions/MGR Today takes me. If I have positive results, I will report back with what I have found out.

I was taken by the company (you will find my submission to Ripoff Report...). I FINALLY received my money after jumping various hoops including contacting the attorney general of two states and the BBB. That rebuttal prior does not seem authentic. Please contact everyone necessary to get money from this scamming company... Hope this helps!

I have actually been working very closely with MGR for a few months now, and I've been nothing but impressed. I have had constant call back from the agent I'm working with. In fact, he actually helped me research and review another "grant company" who had been trying to contact my husband. Together, we discovered that specific company was, in fact, fraudulant. I was quite impressed that this agent would take the time to help me in a way he was not at all expected to do. He very carefully assisted me in completing my itemized list and even requested I add a few things I might not have otherwise thought of. He has always been very professional, and I've never spoken to anyone who was even slightly rude. I have to wonder if this ex-employee realizes that posting on a web site that he/she "lifted" paperwork from a company is illegal? I've worked for a large corporation for years now, and I would have been fired for taking so much as a reciept. Although your intentions to ship this confidential information may be good, (to keep people from getting scammed)it is, undeniably, illegal and therefor, shouldn't be advertised. As far as the $449 fee, that's actually a steal. There are many many many grant writing agencies who charge upwards of $2000 to write a proposal. You are paying for a service. Yes, you CAN do this yourself for free, but it would literally take you years. I have full confidence in the professionals I have come in contact with through MGR and have recommended this company to other people.

I just want to think all of you for exposing this MGRtoday company. I did contact them and they did call me back. I thought something was wrong when the old lady I spoke to had a Russian accent with a name of Sonny, and she was supposed have been checking to see if I was illegible for a grant and heard no typing in the background. So when she explained I would have to send a money with my application I told her no. But after reading what all of you have written I'm convinced I did the right thing.. Thanks to everyone, I'm sorry that some of you got stiffed but you saved me from going through a scam. I'm a single dad on disability and I couldn't afford losing my money that way. Thanks to all of you again and good luck.

MGR - Address Questionable!

#10Author of original report

According to reports, the address for MGR is only a mail servicing company...............do not send any money to this company. They do alot of big talk about what they can do and will refund your company without question if you are not satisfied. Ethan Blake even states you can cancel the program at anytime.....guess what? He has not held true to his word! Do not give this company a second thought! Furthermore, keep your $449.00 in your own pockets and tell them to keep their scam wherever they are!

MGR - Misleading Again???!!!

#12Author of original report

Mon, December 11, 2006

Mr. Blake: MGR is not a member of the BBB. Why would you be? BBB is an acronym for Better Business Bureau.................that leaves your company or whatever is out in the cold! Only legitimate companies qualify. I encourage you to view the reports on the BBB website about your company. It is definitely not something to write home about.

Educated? You have no idea! First of all, you really need to utilize spell check when sending out correspondence. Another thing, why won't the so called reps from your company talk to a reporter when he/she calls to inquire about the legitimacy of your company. I will do everything in my power to make sure your company is exposed as what you really are and that is a scam. There are so many more complaints about your company on this website and I feel almost sure there will be many more to come, but like I said, I will do everything I can to make sure other people are not scammed out of their money! YOU CAN BET ON THIS! I will always say and believe MGR Today or MGR Solutions is a hoax........and if you want to take this one step further, put your money where your mouth is and refund my money. Then and only then, will I say that your company did the right thing. Until then, I will promote your company as a HOAX!

Anyways, in my working there i lifted so much paperwork and am wiling to ship to anyone thats willing to show it to the proper US authorities. :-D BTW i shared a desk with ethan blake here in MONTREAL QUEBEC. Dear Tammy and rippoffreport, It was carefully explained that we are a 3rd party organization who takes the responsibility of writing up your grant preposal and the legal paperwork, that it takes to attain approval from the grant agencies that we apply to for you. I also told you that upon 3 letters of denial from the 3 agencies, you would recieve your payment back to your attention the way you sent it. This was all stated in the legally binding documents that you, "carefully read", then signed and sent back. I even left you my direct number in the office, that you had contacted me at before, in case of a situation like this. To anybody else that reads this report and rebuttal, refer yourselves to the BETTER-BUSINESS-BUREAU, webbsite. Also be educated enough to read the standards of attaining a satisfactory listing. You must be listed for at least a year to get a satisfactory rating. On top of that, we are only in the midst of registering with the BBB. If you are willing to refer yourselves to our listing there you will see we've only been listed since last march, therefore explaining the un-staisfactory rating. Also notice how all complaints have been resolved. Better than half of the co's listed can say. At this time I would like to state that if you are going to apply for a grant online, but, don't want to pay for the neccessary procedures, then refer yourselves to the svc's of the professional grant underwriters and legal firms in the yellow pages. I guarrantee that they don't offer a 100% refund, since they charge by the hour. By the way, 3 of the resolved complaints were people who had to wait a little too long for re-emboursement for their own compfort, however they were finally resolved. Thank-you, ETHAN BLAKE-Consultant.

IF MGR charged you and sent you a packet containing government forms that you could have gotten for free and completed on line for free you can do the following: Write a letter to your state's attorney general informiing him of the scam. Send a copy of the letter to MGR. Write another letter to the attorney general of the state MGR has a mailing address from. Send a copy to MGR. If you are directed to a state consumer affairs office send them a letter, and a copy to MGR. Send a letter to the IRS and the United States Attorney General, also send a copy to MGR. At some point the heat will become hot enough you will get a refund.
