Microsoft Best Buy Wireless Base Station consumer fraud rebate ripoff Internet New Jersey
I purchased a Microsoft Broadband Wireless Base Station at Best Buy. The rebate coupon says that I have to submit:
> "This rebate form"
> "Copy of receipt"
> "Original UPC cut from the box"
Today I got a letter from Microsoft's New Jersey office saying they can't process the rebate without proof of ownership: "Proof of ownership for this rebate promotion is the original product box top, with the product name and barcode clearly identified from the product. No photocopy of the box top will be accepted."
Time for a class action lawsuit!

This is how I handled the same situation but only with a Creative Labs Webcam and they said that they wouldnt give me my rebate, so I took it back to Bestbuy because it stopped working after I submerged it in salt water,, (it didnt say on the box that it wasnt salt water proof :-)and it also had a scratch on the lens for some strange reason after I dragged a diamond ring across the lens.. go figure ? so I took it back to Bestbuy and said that it didnt work or the lens was scratched and I would like to exchange it for something better by a different company "Logitech did honor the rebate and to be quite honest with you its a much better camera" so if the company doesnt want to play fair,, why should you?? They think that they saved money by trying to cheat you out of your hard earned money.. Well they have a camera to replace now. >:-) I hate them dirty aholes that think that they can rip you off,, well thats how to handle it.
