In May 0210, had my car towed to Midas, it would not start. 2 days later, they called me and said they replaced the fuel pump 2times, the car would start, but shut down again they then told me they were looking for electrical problem. I was in touch with   them every couple of days with no real solutions found at this point. It has now been 3 weeks time, I get a call from the district manager, telling me now he his handling the problems with my car. He also tells me the original manager at this Midas has been fired and most of the employees also. He also tells me they can not figure out what is wrong with the car, they have now replaced the computer on the car, but it still will not run. He suggests taking it to the mercury dealer for repairs.I had to set up towing   twice. The 1st time it was still locked in the garage(they had been called 2 times and told to have the car outside to be towed). The car had to be repaired by the dealer at this point. They found MIDAS had cut a hole in the floor board, taken out the back seat and all the trim, the wiring was all pulled out from under the dash. The fuel tank was leaking gas, the transmission would not shift properly. The dealer  replaced the fuel  pump properly with the screen. Supposedly that is all that was wrong with the car in the first place-THE FUEL PUMP. While bringing the car home we found the car had no speedometer, no windshield or back wipers working and the transmission did not shift and leaking gas. Midas again was contacted. They repaired the gas leak and the wipers, it is now 6 weeks later! We had transmission checked out. Midas had put a computer on for a manual transmission instead for an atuomatic transmission. Right now it is at the Ford garage, being repaired, they could not find a new Ford computer in the whole USA, so, it is a used part, which now hopefully it will last. Remember there was NOTHING wrong with the original one. It is now the end of July- 60 days later, all this time, money, and aggrevation all because MIDAS did not know how to repair a simple FUEL PUMP.
