Midland Funding Debt collection on a debt from an unknown source. ripoff New York New York
I received in the mail a judgment for a debt from an unknown source from the Suffolk County Sheriff Dept on behalf of this Midland Funding. I received the letter on June 16, the letter was dated 6/12 and gave me 20 days to start payments. I sent my first money order on June 18, the second on June 25th and then on June 28 this Midland Funding froze my savings account. The amount of money frozen equals to two times the amount of the judgment.
On July 2 I sent the third payment to the Sheriff Dept. I am not sure what to do. If I keep paying they will get three times the amount of the judgment. If I stop paying the Sheriff will do an income execution. I am up to date and started payments within the alloted time frame but still I am the victim of this company seizing my funds.
