Sadly most people will not take the time to write about or past on an experience they have encountered. As a senior citizen I sincerely hope this will serve as a strong wake-up and warning.

One of the most common assumptions about buying a major investment as a car is that we trust the salesperson. However, it is equaled important and essential that you do not make the mistake of the motive of the sale. At the end of the day it is all about MEAN GREEN, “MONEY, MONEY, and MONEY which will drive a salesman to lie, cheat and steal at any cost to you. Make no mistake about this it is all about profit.

Purchased a car from a car lot that I thought was reliable. This compels me at the onset and with clarity how Midtown Motors located at 2689 S. Broadway, Denver CO and Midtown Motors Inc., 4732 S. Broadway, Englewood, CO became less responsive, argumentative, and disrespectful. They refused to make repairs to a 1999 Ford Contour, SE after they received $3,800.00 cash money.

The defective brake, exhaust leak and oil leak was discovered during the buying process. Less than twelve hours after I drove the car off the lot I notice issues had not been corrected. As a “good faith effort” to resolve the mechanical issues I took the car back for the repairs to prevent legal actions against the car lots.

In essence I was thinking that the unfairness and illegal actions/ practices would be obvious to the owner as a customer. But this was only a continuous proxy for their criminal activities for me and possible other customers.

It seems that simply being a different race became-perhaps a factor for wrong treatment. From every practical point the implications were clear that I was fair game and I would pay for their deceptive practices out of my own pocket.

I took the car to Sears for an independent inspection of the brakes and was given an invoice totaling $580.00 dollars. The invoice was presented to them in which I was told Sears did not know what they were talking about. I insisted that the repairs be corrected although the mechanic that falsified the repairs had been fired.

During the balancing act to correct the brakes and other mechanical issues the mechanic acknowledged the brake issue. Also he was shown the oil leak and muffler exhaust leak hole area. I explained that the muffler was leaking water/ exhaust around the body and not out of the tail pipe. These were the same issues I indicated and discussed with the prior mechanic whom they fired for faking repairs.

To my amazement one of the mechanics justified the leak by stating, “My wife has a 2009 SUV and it leaks the same way, all new cars leaks around the muffler and out the tailpipe.” The mechanic called me a plain liar in my face. For the sake of argument I refused to continue the conversation.

Again, I made the mistake that the legal rules of the law to make the repairs would reflect reality but their refusal reaffirmed their principles. The owner became inflamed, outraged and started using profanity as an intimidate tool. The troubling aspect about this entire matter is I had to almost call Denver Police Department due to the conduct and discriminatory action.  The car tires was put back on the car and I left.

No matter what I said or indicted to them I was not going to be believed nor had any creditability as a minority. This is a classical type of dealership that will pay their yearly fee to the BBB for creditable name for personal gain.

The bottom line if you buy from this these car lots are prepared to hire a lawyer, as I had to do.  My advice research and chose a car lot that is honest in their sells from the start. If you shop around you will find a better deal.

Instead to bearing the name Mid Town Motors, it should be changed to The Sly, Slick and Wicked Mid Town Motors “Buy at Your Own Risk.” Take it for what it is worth buy elsewhere.
