I meet carpenter/electrican named Mike Poff from Council Idaho who gave me a good bid on finishing my cabin so it could be rentable. He brought in a partner named Jacob Tharp. Mike and Jacob knew about my horrible experience with Gregg Turner. They promised they had my back had me covered would fix everything make it right etc....well, it's like I had a sign on me saying, I have been ripped off before I am sitting duck for another ripoff. Same story, trusted these 2 to finish and I had to go back to Calif for the winter. I was told it would be done in 2 weeks and rented. Not one dead line was met, Mike wanted more time and more money, the job was way over the budget. 2 months later I said I will not pay until I see the cabin and assess what needs to be done and take inventory of the materials. His then girlfriend was sending me threatening texts, Got back this Spring, the cabin was nowhere near done, and most of what they did do has to be redone!!! The plumbing!, the electrical and the Eye Candy is a joke and both of these guys were supposed to have been licensed electricians! Jacob was must not have a level! He left live wires under the house, connected 110 to 220 boxes, it goes on and on!!! Jacob promised he would come back and fix all the bullshit, but he wanted me to pay him to fix his crappy work!! Can you believe this??! The plumbing has had several leaks with live wires close by! The electrical shorts out constantly! I am lucky my house didn't burn down!! They left garbage in the front side and back AND UNDER the cabin! The interior was filthy as well and they charged me for cleaning supplies that I saw no trace of...The water heater was put on a 1 1/2" joist, over an open access hole under a stair case without any access to it!! Mike tried to charge me for a table saw and a chop saw!!!! OMG! I am sure I got charge for materials that were used on other jobs. I was given beautiful old salvage by dear friends for the interior which they ruined! So much loss and heart ache here. So basically the second 2 were no better than the first!! Jacob basically has blamed Mike for most of the BS, and has not tried to make anything right. He is not a man of his word. Mike Poff is MIA. We need Carpenter police!! These guys are all crooks and should be made to pay restitution!
