I took my cat to this vet for itching and scratching , his symptoms were temp low, weight loss, vomiting and they said he had fleas, so the Dr. there gave him a dose of Depo - Medrol a steroid, which in turn killed my cat. This doctor did not even read his symptoms, just assumed my cat had fleas and gave him this shot... My cat was a indoor cat and the emergency Dr. said that he had the cleanist skin she had ever seen... My cat had a heart condition that went undiagnosed and since this doctor asssumed he had fleas and in turn gave him a shot of this depo-medrol and he died less than a week later... I highly suggest that you not take your animals of any kind to this veterinary...

He does not know what he is doing and he made us pay for the damage he did to our cat 675.00 dollars... We asked him for the money back and he said just get a lawyer and try and sue me..

He is a cold man indeed.

Steroids For Fleas?

#2Consumer Suggestion

I do not have cats, but I do have dogs and I have never heard of anyone giving steroids to a companion animal because they had fleas! Check with your state government and find out if you are entitled to the medical records this vet has for your animal (some states do have this regulation). If you are entitled to the records, demand a copy of them immediately. You will need to have another vet (or vets) look at the records. If more than one vet agrees with the original vet's diagnosis, you may not have any claims. If they do not, contact the State Vet Licensing Board and file a complaint. Was an autopsy performed after the death of your cat to prove the cause of death? If so, you will need a copy of that medical report. Good luck.
