He told me that I needed to purchase a licnese for my computer to operate it without any problems. I gave him a credit card payment for $200.00. Phone Scam Alert
We just wanted to give you some simple guidelines on scam awareness.
Contact is typically made through cold calls, direct mail or print advertisements.
Always Remember: Never ever trust unsolicited calls. Do not provide any sensitive information to anyone.
Moreover, most of the scammers are using Western Union in tricking unsuspecting victims into handing them money for so-called processing fees and the like due to its international presence and questionable security.
TIP:Services like Western Union are only meant for sending money to people you personally knew! Never use Western Union in wiring money to people you have never met – it’s very unsafe!
Here are some guidelines and ways to protect you from the scam:
Furthermore, IF YOU HAPPEN TO RECEIVE A CALL FROM SOMEONE SAYING THAT THEY ARE FROM A RANDOM COMPANY, THAT THE COMPANY IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS AND WILL MAKE REFUNDS AROUND $1000, EVEN ASKING PAYMENTS FOR PROCESSING FEE COSTS, BEST THING TO DO IS NOT TO ENTERTAIN THE CALL AS THAT IS OBVIOUSLY A FRAUD.
ACTUALLY, IT’S EASY TO AVOID SCAMS, ANY KIND OF SCAMS. JUST DON’T GET EASILY CAUGHT UP WITH FREEBIES OR GLOWING TESTIMONIALS FROM UNSOLICITED EMAILS OR CALLS. TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.
We hope to help you as much as we can.
Thank You,
Management
