Mobile Telesys in the Ventura(CA) mall represented to me that "they were Verizon." After asking them a number of specific questions I signed up with them and purchased a cell phone. I insisted on and received(in writing)a "15 day period" during which I could cancel and receive a complete refund if services were not as they promised. Within the 15 days, I used the service and found that there were substantial areas where I could not receive a signal. I called Verizon and cancelled the service. Verizon cancelled the service but that I would have to contact Mobile Telesys directly to obtain a refund for the purchase of the equipment. And, that contrary to the representations made, Mobile Telesys was NOT Verizon. And, that Verizon had no control over MT's practices or promises. I contacted Mobile Telesys and was told I had to return the equipment to the exact point of purchase(even though I had been told at the time of purchase that "any Verizon store anywhere in the United States could take of the return.") I was told by MT to package the equipment in the original packaging and mail it with a copy of the receipt to a PO Box in Carlsbad. I complied with all the requirements and mailed off the equipment. The package was returned to me. The Post Office told me that Mobile Telesys refused to accept the package! So much for a written contract!

I have worked for mobile telesys for a while now and I have seen some pretty shady stuff done by some sales people but those people have been taken care of. Each individual should be sure to know what they are about to sign as a customer I would not give my ID or credit card to anyone without knowing what its for like this customer did, but also I would not go ahead and take the freedom to activate something that was not asked for. So it all depends on who you talk to but we are and we will get rid of the bad seeds in the company. I myself am in a managment position and would never treat a customer like the complaint above and would make sure none of my employees would do so either.

Subject: Calling Mobile Telesys a liar.
I think that it is wrong to call them a liar because I was probally a misunderstanding. After reading your statement it seemed very onesided. An Mobile Telesys offered to refund all of your money. All you had to do was pay for shipping. That seems pretty fair to me because they could have just told you to bad you have to keep the phones. Also if you would have called Verizons Eazy Move number they would have been able to get your service local to colorado. I currently work for mobile telesys in Michigan and think that this is wrong to post because, Mobile
Telesys tried to make her happy and she didnt think it was enough. There was alot of false infromation in that statement. I know there is freedom of speech but that is slander and there is laws agianst that.
EDitor's Comment to the above REBUTTAL:
It's called Libel, not slander. So, Go-ahead, waste your time.
FYI: The law is clearly on the victims side and our side as well.
