I have about 2000 sq feet of Mohawk wood floors. The floors were installed in a new construction home in 2011 by Village Builders (now Lennar) in Sugar Land, Texas. The floors are 3 1/2 years old. The top layer on the edges of the wood are coming apart in every single room. I have NO kids and very little traffic in the home. The floors cost close to 15K. Traci Cochran from Mohawk sent me a letter today which states "the Mohawk products is warrantied to the original purchaser of the material. Our warranties to do not transfer from home owner to home owner." I purchased my home from the original owner when the home was almost one year old. Therefore, MOHAWK WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. It is such a shame. Honestly, I would be embarrassed and ashamed to be employed by a company who fabricates such poor quality products. I suggest home builders find a new wood floor manufacture unless you want unhappy customers! You will REGRET using your hard earned money on Mohawk products. I expect Mohawk to stand behind their wood floors when they are 3 years old and 15 thousand dollars!

I am so glad you understand we are having issues with our floors.  I do understand the warranty is not in my name as I stated in the report.  I thank you for taking your time to contacting Mohawk to read my post.  I feel it is important to read customer feedback (positive or negative).  I am confident the owner(s) of Mohawk takes value in their customer’s experience to improve their business product and customer service.  There is nothing false about my report, simply facts.  Facts do not lie or misrepresent!  I do not understand why you are so upset.  Do you work or have a relation with Mohawk?

We get it YOU are having issues with YOUR floor. But the warranty IS NOT in your name. If it WAS then they would be taking care of YOUR issue. There IS wear and tear from the previous owners and YOU have put your share of wear and tear on it. This is LESS about a company NOT standing behind their products and MORE about YOU GETTING YOUR WAY!!!! YOU can stop playing the victim because YOU DID NOT PURCHASE THE ITEMS!!! When YOU purchased the home the floors WERE NOT NEW!!!!! The ONLY resolution for this would be to have the person WHO OWNS THE LEGAL WARRANTY be your contact person and have THEM redeem the warranty. YOU are just a spoiled little girl who needs to be taught a VALUABLE lesson. Im going to contact this company and point them at YOUR post. SInce YOU feel its ok to make a FALSE report, as YOU do NOT hold the warranty and YOU were not the original purchaser, and let THEM descide if they wish to take further LEGAL ACTION since what YOU have posted is defamation of character and YOU have presented YOUR opinions as fact online. THAT is illegal, just as a FAKE consumer report is illegal. Given that THIS site NEVER removes a report, YOU could be on the hook and have to pay them for as long as YOUR post continues to come up. The web is a MEDIA OUTLET and as such YOU CANNOT PRESENT FALSE INFORMATION AS FACT!!!! That is what YOU have done.

YOU have besmirched a reputable businesses reputation all because YOU were told NO. NO you are NOT the warranty holder and no amount of YOUR BS is going to change reality. Since YOU are obviously not bright enough to know when YOU are screwing yourself over, that means that YOU are also NOT bright enough to cover your tracks online. Which means all it takes is a court order and THEY will have all the proof they need to take YOU to civil court for your pack of mistruths. Its NOT about NOT standing behind their product, it IS about what they can do LEGALLY!!!! YOU are NOT the warranty holder. Its people like YOU that causes THEM to not be flexable. Take yourself out of the situation. Look at it WITHOUT those hormones and that attitude. YOU will see that what YOU are asking for THEY just cant do. THEY do NOT hold the warranty, a third party does. So what YOU are asking them to do is to EAT 15k out of their pockets because YOU think they should. The third party warranty holder is the ONLY people who can authorize the expenditure of cash. Since YOU are NOT the ACTUAL WARRANTY HOLDER, YOU have ZERO recourse against any of them. YOU should really try and STOP being SO self entitled. Its going to continue to cause you problems in life. There is a RIGHT WAY and a WRONG WAY to do things. What YOU have done is the WRONG WAY!! Yes YOU have the right to complain but YOU do NOT have the right to present YOUR opinions as fact and you DO NOT have the right to misrepresent the situation in YOUR favor.
