I was balancing my checkbook on 10/20 and discovered a withdrawl for check 1 in the amount of $199. I immediately knew something was wrong. I had not written a check for $199 nor had I ordered anything nor do I shop off the internet.

I called my bank the next morning and they said it was an electronic payment. I had them fax me the supposed check and it was from Moonlight Marketing. I had never heard of this company nor had I at anytime spoke to them. Right then I knew I had been a victim of some kind of scam.

They used an old address, the address was incomplete, my name was spelled wrong and my middle intial left out, which I always use my middle initial. Somehow they obtained the right bank account though. Companies should not be able to get away with this and I don't pay taxes to have people doing nothing when there is all this info floating around about Moonlight Marketing scamming people. They are CROOKS.

The same morning I went to my credit union to fill out an affidavit of fraud because they said they can not do anything because it came over as an electronic draft. I took the info regarding Moonlight Marketing to my bank and they still did not move a muscle to act. I ALSO filed a police report and it is now being handled by a dectective.

My credit union said they have 30 days to respond and most likely will put the money bank. However at this time my credit will not refund or reverse the charges. I was advised to not but items from the internet. I do not shop from the internet and am perplexed at how they received my information. I believe the banks/credit unions should not let anyone's money be taken out from a company that has no return address or working phone numbers.

When I filed my police report I took copies of all the info that report.com and gave to detectives. I hope that we will all get our money back and this company will pay dearly. This is all happening to me a week before my wedding and I think they should have to pay mental anguish and pain and suffering.

Now I am pursuing the district director of my credit union to see that this is handled to my satisfaction. Good luck to all that pursue.

Just wanted to add that the phone number that came over with the bank draft was bogus. What they are doing it changing their number frequently. When I called form work the call would not go through. I called my bank to tell them that the number would not go through and a message kept coming on stating to please check the number you are calling. I finally had to dial *67 to block the number then it connected and another message came on in French then in English stating this number is not in service and to pleack check the number you have dialed. So how do you complain when there is no valid info. If you ask for a copy of the check that came through electronically you will that this company provides no information but ITI bank and the account number to send the money they just stole.
