First of all let me begin by saying, this is a great place to work if you have a criminal record or are a drug user because background checks and drug tests ARE NOT DONE. So for people who can't find work anywhere else, it could be a Godsend. When you go through training with two of the most legitimate people there, Mike and Lieu, you are told that the company operates a certain way. But, once you begin working there, you find out about all the behind the scenes sex (Hailey, Ray, Black Rob, Heather, etc., etc.), drugs and drinking on the job, (Fritz, better known as sauerkraut, Darryl and so on and so forth) the company really begins to lose credibility. Don't get me wrong, like I said in the begining, there are very legitimate people working there, like Mike, Lieu, Frank, Cheryl, Charlie and Josh. These are some of thed original employees who respect and believe in what they are doing. People are treated well by these six bosses. Then there are the nothings and nobodys like Pam,Fritz, Chantelle(who only worked there for one month before being promoted..gee I wonder how she got that promotion so fast?!?) and Alicia who have never been in a position of authority in their entire lives and becoming "verifiers" or "supervisors" makes them feel more important than they really are. Micromanagers is what society calls them. Apparently Pam feels the need to take out on everyone the fact that she weighs just over 500 lbs. It's pathetic, your so gross you have to eat in your car...that's just sad:( Nobody's fault but yours...don't b a hater. Fritz has a inferiority complex because he's only 5' tall and has only ever been a construction worker and a pedafile his whole life. Eeeew! Yeah I heard he was a pedafile, you know, a predator like on that dateline show. I wish I had worked at the company back in the day before everything became corrupt. It must have been a wonderful company to work at. I know it was because William Edwards is a hell of a guy and does so much for the community. That's all for now. Oh by the way, the employees are selling drugs right under their noses but it wouldn't do any good to say anything cuz nothing will ever be done. Sorry Bill, these yo-yos are destroying your company.

My name is John Nieman and I'm an ex-employee. I have decided to profoundly spill the beans on Mortgage Investors Corporation. I was going to remain silent and composed however Frank wanted to play little revenage games with me by playing all my bad calls after I quit in front of the whole room with my (at the time) girlfriend Jodi boord in the room. Plus I sure every there is talking plenty of crap about me so this is my reply.  Screw you Frank I hope you like this you piece of garbage. Hopefully is grammatically correct enough for you Jodi or hopefully you read this right before you go to work because then you'll probably be too high from smoking weed to notice all my errors. Yes Jodi Boord smokes weed everyday before work. So does Jose Ramos, Darryl, Brian O'Quin, Lui, Bob Cloud, crap why even waste my breath when Bill Edwards (the owner) smokes weed. I worked at Mortgage Investors Corporation for approximatly 6 months. I've been a professional sales person for over 5 years and have done telemarketing sales for over 10yrs. I had alot of success with some great companies. What I realized immediately when I started working at Mortgage Investors Corporation / Amerigroup was that the leads they were giving me to call had been called so many times daily repeatedly that it was diffucult to even find someone that would listen to you. I'd sit there for 7 hours sometimes 10 hours and maybe talk to 2 or 3 people who actually had a VA mortgage loan. Anyway that's sales and thats not all that uncommon. One thing that really bothered me though was that this 18yr old girl named Shaunte who was fresh out of high school and was in my training class when we both started there got promoted over me in 1 1/2 months. The funny thing was she wasn't very good on the phone in my professional salesman opinion. She was basically flirtly with the supervisor of the phone room at the time Ray. I heard she actually screwed him but that could very well just be a rumor. It was pretty obvious that she got the promotion based upon her looks. So I just let it roll off my back and said to myself that it would just be a matter of time before they realized my seasoned sales skills. One time I made it to #1 or #2 on the monthly top producer list and Ray took my name off the list completely. I like ray though... he saved my a*s a few times but that was mess up Ray and you deserved to get fired buddy. It didn't take me long to figure out how the company was making millions of dollars. They try to compartmentaltize the employees so that everyone does a specific job and masters it.  They also have different building in order to keep the employees from communicating with each other ex- the beach where they recieve inbound sales calls and practically say whatever they want like "It's a 3.5% fixed rate". I know from my friends who work at corporate and "the beach" that told me that it's the first thing they tell people when they call in. Which is a flat out lie. It's actually a Adjustable rate mortgage. It can be beneficial however depending on where some one is at in thier current VA loan. At the same time this business tactic of compartmentaltizing keeps the employees from realizing what exactly there doing there to make all this money. They attempted to teach you as little as possible about how the mortgage business works and how they really operated and make money. They want you to just comply with what they tell you. If you ask complicated questions about the business they give you the run around (they lie to you). Here How it works: They get leads of veterans via buying leads from other banks, lead generating companies, there website etc. Then they call them and send them mail in an attempt to get them to refinance their VA mortgage loans. then they send a Loan officers (High pressure Salesman) out to these veterans homes to sell them on this A.R.M. loan. If he can't close the deal they call corporated and put you on the phone with NAC where they try to sell you the loan over the phone. They also ask the veteran for 1% cash down payment on the loan amount. They end up lowering thier mortgage payment by 20 bucks a month after they tack on a outrageous closing fee to the back end of the veterans laon somtimes $15,000 or as much as they can with still being able to save them a little money so that the Veterans Administration will sign thier approval on the refinance. Then they sell the loan to another bank to make the interested off of while they lock in whatever $ they added to the loan amount. Brilliant business plan really. So they make a killing.  If you go to the V.A.'s offical website and read about the Streamline Refinance program it basically looks identical to the script your read over the phone. Anyway I started to like a girl I was working with named Jodi Boord who I mentioned earlier. Then I came to find out that it was company policy that your not allowed to date other employees there. They didn't want you fraternizing with the other employees there. Well they make you work 6 days a week so it's pretty hard not too. So I was taking over difficult phone calls for the other employee's there and they gave me premission to say all kinds of things i.e. It's part of your military benefits Sir/Mam to streamline your loan. Which is a lie. Then they demoted me because I called off one day after party for days... hey I just wanted to be on drugs like everybody else there! But I never did drugs before work like 50% of the people who work there now. Then I quit because they wanted me to hand over my phone calls to Brain O'quin and Dee and Jesse. Basically all these people who couldn't close a deal if their life depended on it. So I quit.                            

                                       Chapter 2 "The Stewart Story"

The story would be complete without mentioning old over the hil, way passed his prime Stewart. So he must be at least 58yrs old approx. Probably weighs 280pds and has half his teeth. Well he like 20yr old girls that work there! This girl named Danni went to jail for violating her probation and Stewart came to visit her in jail! Sounds nice right? He came every night to visit her however after the first night she refused her visitations because she knew it was him trying to pick up on her. See he was dating another 20yr old girl there a few years back until that one left him. Rumor has it that she was just using him for his money which makes the most sense because no 20yr old girl in her right mind would ever be attracted to him phyically. He also use to hand out candy only to the girls there and not the guys. He would hand out candy canes and then watch the girls suck on them. Yuck! So back to Danni in jail. Stewart writes her a letter and puts $70 on her commissary account. Apparent the letter stated he really missed her and wished she was beside him. Gross. So when she came back to work she promptly showed the letter to Frank (director Of the outbound call center) because she didn't feel comfortable working with him. Then Frank promised he would take care of it and that Stewart would get fired. Well Frank took the letter to Bill Edwards who stated that Stewart had made so much money for the company that he was not going to fire him. Supposedly Stewart was out for two weeks while having foot surgery... that may have been partually true but the real reason he was off is because he was suspended for 2 weeks. So then when he came back they stuck him in the back room in order to keep him hidden. Well when Danni realized they didn't fire him she and her friend Catlin quit and rightfully so! Now Danni has a lawsuit pending agianst the company for sexual harassment.  So in conclusion the company is pretty screwed up in general. Hopefull the Bill Edwards Mafia doesn't kill me now for writing this and not keeping my anonimity. He is well known for his shady business dealings all over St. Petersburg, FL.

After reading what yall were saying I just couldnt sit back and let yall just bash the original posting.....now remind you I have dealt with this company for years and yes they do promote females especially the cuter white females just because they a want to have sex with them or b they already have...... Bill fired Ray Chavez for this very same reason and most likely will be doing more firing....I can say that yes they do do background checks in training and do let people go in training for several reasons.....as far as someone reporting the incidents that go on there I have tried reporting them as well as some past employees and we were told the next time we go to corporate with anything we would be fired and we are to go to our supervisors.....but my thing is how can you go to your supervisor about anything when they are the problem......you go to corporate they act like your stupid or lying and folks got fired for going and reporting it to corporate or to the supervisor who happens to be the friend of the person your reporting....... Very few people get promotted because of their good work and most get promoted because they are friends with the supervisors and do special favors...like taking the starbucks runs for the tower (alicia, hailey, and nikita) of they are dating Ray or Mike...I can say Frank is the most fair out the three but then again he's not fair as well....They need to get the old crew back from 2003 cause thats when the company was ran fair and nobody got promoted without at least making it on the top 10...such as Charlie Chandra and Scott to name a few......Your right the person had no choice if they wanted to keep their job to go home and write on these sites cause this is the only way that you could get someones attention in that d**n company......but you know its alright cause Bill got enough lawsuits on his desk and if he dosent they are coming and hes going to have to go in there and fix the problems as well as come out his pocket due to all the discrimination, sexism and retaliation that goes on in his 6120 building.......everyone does reap what they sew and MIC will reap it.....I cant wait cause I got front row seating

After reading this mess I had to sit and think on whether or not I would respond for a few days, and after much thought I just could not stay silent. There are so many untruths to your letter, first being that no background check is done. What were you doing during your first day of training? When you walk in the door you have to hand the security guard your drivers license and social security card. The security guard then does a background check on each and every person in the training class. People are escorted out if they have a criminal record, and you most likely already knew that.

Second it sounds like you used this website as a soundboard to verbally attack employees you had an issue with. Did you actually try taking legitimate issues to management? Did you use the proper chain of command, or did you just get frustrated with your own issues and quit, then come here and sound off?? To sit here and attack people behind a computer is cowardly. Those people cannot defend themselves unless they choose to create an account on here and do so. Using people's names as you did and putting it on the internet is despicable.

MIC is a wonderful place to work, they do a great service for veterans while employing plenty of veterans themselves. Any company has "issues", show me a company with no "issues" and I'll show you one man company going nowhere. But there is a proper chain of command to take complaints and issues to, and if you truly saw or knew about anything you wrote, you could have taken it to any of the supervisors you name as being legitimate. I'd be willing to bet you did nothing of the sort. You just came here with this barrage of untruths and inaccuracies, branding people drug addicts, calling people names and embarrassing your own self.

First of all, I know many people who have gone to the training class and filled out the paperwork only to be turned away because of some small incident that happened more than a year ago. I've also known people from years ago who couldn't get a job because of their background even if they could read the rebuttals and script like a natural.  I don't know if your information is old or just incorrect, but please do not tell others that a company does not check their employees' backgrounds when it does.

As to the, quote, "behind the scenes sex," I would like to know where you gained that information without being a part of it yourself. If that information is accurate, I'm pretty sure the owner would LOVE to see some proof...

As I'm sure you already know, there are salespeople, and then there are SALESPEOPLE. Just because someone is promoted before you or other people does not necessarily mean that they do not honestly deserve that position. I know a colleague who went through training with me and I know for sure he will be promoted before some of the people who started before him. He consistently gets 1 or 2 leads a day even on the days when the entire day shift gets less than 30 leads.

I have a serious question for you. If everyone starts out at entry level, how does anyone get promoted when they have never had a "position of authority" before? There is a first time for everything, and being a supervisor at MIC is a good place to get some experience.

Pam does not take anything out on anyone unless they repeatedly do not know what they are supposed to be doing. If I had a car, I would probably eat in it as well, considering I don't like to be around people for more than 4 hours at a time if I don't have to. Besides, with people like you who only see the negatives, who WOULDN'T want to be as far away as possible on their only long break?

You HEARD Fritz was a pedophile? So you don't actually have any proof? Way to go, Mr. OnlineBasher you just joined in the heresy and rumor club!

Lets say were in 10th grade. The person you like is in your class an one day he/she gave you a look. You approach the person, introduce an lay down some lines. It goes well an you look forward to progress further tomorrow.

But the next day in class, something is amiss. They act differently towards you and in a manor you don't really like. To cut it short, someone has mislead the person your after.

There's many ways with handling this situation properly. Maintaining your dignity and striking back maturely. But your in the 10th grade so your just probably going to run your mouth, helping fuel the monster of unnecessary bs that goes on within such a young society.

So now your grown an things go a muck at the work place. And you seem to be on the short end of the stick. Now there's many ways to handle the situation in a mature manor. No matter how stark an unfair it may seem, you can handle it. Maintaining your dignity an pride at the same time while striking back with proper justice.

But instead you go home to your little safe domain. Sit on your cushy pedestal an turn on your weapon of narrow-mindedness. Get on ripoffreport.com an proceed to list names an bash people over the WWW. In which case, you know without a doubt, they can't hurt you. I mean, they can respond back like this. Or they could exhaust their efforts to find the originator. But, nothing can be done to you. And in the end, when you go to bed, you feel so much better about yourself. You've done your job. Congratulations.

As the great Don Won would say, "Hater's make the world go 'round." All I'm trying to say is that, this is a website designed to inform the general public on any wrong doings or general bad business company's may be committing. Not for anyone to get "even" with others. That won't do anything. Well, it will. It will help feed that monster of bs that seemingly never wants to go away.

MIC, Mortgage Investors Corp. is a company. A company with a chain off command as any other. It has it's rules and regulations. It has a consumer population an consumer interest due to what it has to offer. Seeing as only about 200 complaints has actually been filled about the company. And taking into consideration how long the company has existed, the pro's seem to out way the con's. And the "con's" are only through here say, or personal opinion.

It's a great company. I'm glad I'm on the payroll. Glad I make money while helping the men an women who have risked their lives serving our country get in a better financial situation. One that they deserve to be in! An I wouldn't like any other way. I'm sure you wouldn't, Wouldn't You?!
