They sell products that they do not stand behind, and quote the "terms & conditions" as an excuse to ship products that are faulty. Apparently the "terms & conditions" require you to accept items that do not work. The company's response most often that you are responsible for the normal dealer assembly. However, my scooter was delivered in condition that went beyond the assembly described in the purchase agreement. It was delivered in dangerous condition - leaking gasoline. Also, my ignition switch was faulty which destroyed the battery. Assistance from customer service was not timely, which delayed my ability to ride the scooter within the warranty period (I had to wait for a new ignition switch to be delivered from the factory - I assume in China). Now all warranty issues are being denied because "it's past warranty." If you can't ride a scooter because it is inoperable, you will not find the other warranty defects! Be prepared to receive products that do not work and lose your warranty while you try to fix the problems. The company's response when I asked to return the item was, "it doesn't work that way." My response is that we no longer live in a world of "buyer beware", except at Motobuys. I took a chance because I thought the price was right and wondered how unscrupulous a company could be in today's retail environment. The answer is very. Don't throw your money away like I did. Their "F" rating on the Better Business Bureau is justified.

We are sorry this customer is unhappy.  However we are an online seller of scooters and have been for many years.  we suggest you go to the independent site www.verified-reviews.com where you will find us with a 4.5 star out of 5 stars rating. This site polls every customer that purchases from us and posts the results on Google. This site allows any customer to post false statements with no proof that they are true or not.

The only thing that is true here is that this customer purchased it online.  Our web site trys very hard to explain to all our customers about purchasing a vehicle online,  When doing so the buyer must do the setup, repair and service required.  Since we are not a brick and mortar dealer, that is why we have the terms and conditions of sale agrrement that this customer signed when he purchased it. That way the customer has been clearly informed of this and signed that he agrees to it.

The problem with a few people that purchase online vehicles is that they are not capable of doing minimum requirements or troubleshooting needed to set-up their vehicle.  Our vehicles can be 50% to 70% cheaper than brick and mortar stores, but with that requires the customer to service and maintain there own vehicle.  However every customer does need to sign the terms and conditions of sale agreement.  This is to protect both the customer and us. 

THE CUSTOMER CLAIMS WE SELL PRODUCTS THAT ARE DEFECTIVE. This is 100% false. First, the unit in question here was shipped factory direct.  It was completely tested and ridden before it was crated annd shipped. If the customer has an issue we offer both tech support and a parts dept to assist him.

The rest of this FALSE complaint is untrue.  We do not expire warranty for a backordered part. As our 4.5 star rating clearly shows, 95% + of our customers are happy and satisfied.  Our goal is 100% satisfaction always.

We are sorry this customer feels he was not taken care of. As always there is always 2 sides to every story. He is welcome to contact at 877-667-6289.  And again we suggest here that he simply take his unit to a local mechanic for assistance.
