i am the salesman who delt with this customer. when he came in to test drive truck he brought HIS OWN MECHANIC to inspect the truck. nothing was ever said about any problem with truck. he only wanted to try to talk me down in price. truck was bought as-is no warranty because of high miles, customer was told this and signed off for no warranty. he also told me truck was for his business and was going to be used as a delivery truck. he called a few days after he bought it and told me clutch was out.
we agreed to replace clutch if he would bring it to our service dept. he refused. he wanted chrysler dealership to do repairs. the dealership said transmission was fine and only needed a clutch. we agreed to pay half and did. now he calls us after over a month and tells us transmission is out. we don't feel like we owe this customer anything. check cars.com we are a 5star dealer and try to do whats right but this customer bought a high mile truck with no warranty and using it for delivery truck. we are not responsible. we hate it for him but he bought it knowing it was sold as-is no warranty.
