Nationwide Relocation is a joke and a complete rip-off. I contacted the company in September for a move at the end of October from Baltimore to Colorado. They gave me a two day window to pick up my items--Tuesday or Wednesday of the last week of October and told me someone would call a few days in advance to give the exact day. The weekend prior, I received two calls both indicating that the move would be on Tuesday. To this end, I made arrangements for my work schedule including the rescheduling of a meeting that required other colleague to travel. On Monday I received a call that the move ould be on Wednesday. I blew a fuse! I explained my situation and that I made arrangements based on the calls I received over the weekend. They did not care and did nothing to accomodate my situation. The movers showed up Wednesday afternoon after 4:00 pm--I had to be out of the house by mid-night that night. The story gets worse. My contract outlined that I would pay based on the actual weight. Several days later I received a call from the moving company indicating that they would be delivering my stuff the following week and told me I owed $1200. I asked them what the weight was and they said it didn't matter that I had to pay based on the minimum. I told them I had a contract that said differently and they say they did not work that way. I called Nationwide Relocation as they are the broker and could not get anyone to call me back for two days. Finally someone returned my call and said they would email me the weight ticket. I called every day for five days asking for the weight ticket and no one could tell me what the actual weight was; however, they did agree that I was suppose to pay based on the actual weight. The moving company showed up today and said if I don't pay them the $1200 then they will take my stuff to storage and I will have to pay for storage and someone else to bring it back and unload it. There was no way I was going to just let them take my stuff away so I had no choice but to pay the $1200. In addition, one guy was unloading the truck!!! ONE GUY!! They sent no one else!! Complete rip off a company!

Nationwide Relocation Services does not believe in misleading or misinforming our customers. All service, pricing and dates are provided to our customers in writing prior to servicing their move. We strive to exceed all of our customers expectations and when we dont, we work with our customers to resolve the issues. We like to be able to resolve our customer issues as much as possible, but when customers do not advise our office of issues they are experiencing it is difficult to resolve their concerns. Based on call logs all calls she made to her moving consultant were returned and her questions were answered. Our customer service department has also attempted to follow up with her to address her concerns as well. We were unaware of any issues until this complaint was posted. Barbara Turney signed an estimate that indicated her pick up dates were to be executed on 10/27 or 10/28 with delivery to be done between 10/31 and 11/12 based on the weight and distance of her shipment. The carrier, who serviced her move, experienced a delay at the move prior and was unable to arrive on the originally scheduled day and re-scheduled her for the second day of the window but still in accordance with her estimate. Ms Turney was also delivered at the beginning of her delivery spread explained on her estimate.

Ms. Turneys contract indicates she was to move an estimated amount and she is correct in stating that she would pay for the actual weight hauled, except in the event of a move minimum. She is however incorrect in stating the minimum is not indicated on her estimate. The Estimate and Terms clearly indicate she there is a minimum weight requirement in effect on her move. This means that she will pay for a minimum weight regardless of what the weight tickets indicate was hauled. The amount Ms. Turney indicated she paid is the correct amount and she actually came in under the weight that was estimated by our office. She did authorize additional services be provided to her that were not included in the estimate she discussed with our consultant and there for not included in her cost. She signed and authorized these charges on the day of pick up.

We regret that Barbara Turney feels we are a dishonest company and a member of our management team will be attempting to contact Barbara to address her issues and come to a mutual resolution. However, she was picked up and delivered on time, her weight was less than what was estimated and regarding the one person at delivery, if our office was contacted at the time, we could have resolved the issue to ensure additional assistance was sent to assist with her delivery. Again, we would like to work with her to resolve the fact that she was unsatisfied with our services.
