Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I will keep this as short as possible.

MovingHelp.com hires people to move your belongings without vetting them. They take your money in advance, send out anyone they can get that is a warm body and they hope the job gets done and no complaint comes in.

Not this time.  The movers filled the Uhaul truck (took 6 hours), moved it to the new location, 2 blocks away, and then refused to empty it without receiving another $200 cash.  This is after we paid $800 in advance via credit card to the service.  We were dealing with the owner on site, so we had no other choice but to pay the cash, as he was getting in his car to leave.  We had no one else, knew no one else to call, and I had to do surgery at 6:30 in the morning and have the truck back to Uhaul that evening by 10:pm  By now it was already 5:pm.

After paying him the cash, the guy argued with me that it was no really too late to work and that he could come back at 8:am the next day and finish the work.  I couldn't do that, because again, I would be in surgery and wouldn't be availble.  This also wasn't part of the deal.  Yes, we went over in hours, but that wasn't because of me, it was because these two gentleman worked so slow.  I was only moving a 2 bedroom apartment.  It fit into a 16' truck.  Why would it be $1000 anyway.  My Girlfriend hired a full service mover and paid a total of $450 for her move and she moved from the same place a week later.

I tried to use my credit card company to deny the credit card charge as I called the police due to their stealing services after taking my money.  I have a police report for theft of services.  Police told me that most likely nothing would end up happening as there is so much of this going on.  Needless to say, i feel totally ripped off, paid $600 more to a thief and I got denied by the credit card service because MovingHelp.com who hired these guys will not take any responsibility.

So I want to warn anyone and everyone who reads this to not use MovingHelp.com through the UHAUL service online.

It is a total ripoff.

Thank you!
