I had taken a previous vehicle to this office, for a free (advertised)transmission inspection, with no problems, so i decided its free, i will take the 2nd one in to be checked.

my husband took it in for me, and was told since he didnt call first he needed to leave it, because there were others ahead of him, fine no problem.

The next day we called to see if it was ready to be picked up, he said not yet, he would call us, so the next day he did, he asked my husband to come down, so he did, when he got there the transmission, was out and disassembled, he pointed out some things, and gave him a 1400 estimate, my husband wanted to know how much a new transmission was, and he said he could only rebuild it.

My husband and i talked about it and decided not to do it, so we called to see when it would be ready to be picked up, he said as soon as you pay the 289.00 fee for the inspection, i asked what fee, you said it was free, he said yes until he took it apart(which he didnt discuss with either of us before doing), i asked him who gave him permission to do that, he said when i asked your husband when his birthday was that gave me permission, i told him ok that was either letting you know that he was over 18, or you planned to buy him a present, after a nasty exchange of words, and me threatning to sue, he said he would push it out of his garage, which is what he done, after he threw my transmission, and starter in a box, which is where it sits today, in the back seat of my minivan, then had the nerve to tell me dont ever bring my business back to him again(like i ever planned on it). His ad said free transmission inspection, period, all of the other ads said free transmission inspection, and other fees may be added, and furthermore, no one gave him permission to take it out.

Katrina's Aerostar was towed in at no charge to her, the vehicle would not move and was not drivable. Upon her authorization to inspect the vehicle a diagnosis was performed and it was reccomended that the transmission be rebuilt. She declined repair do to her financial situation and per her request the transmission and parts were boxed up and put in the back of vehicle. There was no charge for the tow in or the inspection.
