First, in my opinion, the problem involves the franchise owner and all his shops. The reason I am writing this comment is to forewarn and stop potential customers from losing money. Believe me when I say go elsewhere. Because you might end-up like me.
I went into one of the local Midas shop at 3422 Illinois Road, owned and operated by MRE Automotive. The service manager and mechanic pressured me into replacing the upper and lower intake gaskets I did not need. The engine failed one hundred miles after the mechanic replaced the gaskets. The service manager and the mechanic lied when they said they did not know what cause the engine failure. They wanted me to have them replace the engine to cover-up what happened. Where, the mechanic used the wrong part numbers damaging the engine. Had I allowed them to replace the engine, I would not have been the wiser, when they both told me the engine probably has cracked heads.
Besides all of this, I found it strange that for them saying they did not damage the engine that they would file an insurance claim with their insurance. I did not find this out until I went to trade my car and the salesman said my car is showing on Car-fax as a total loss. Therefore if you want to deal with crooks and liars go there, if not go elsewhere.
