MSN Microsoft Network Shakedown for early termination consumer rip-off fraud Tuscon, AZ; Dallas, TX; Redmond, WA Nationwide
Since I cancelled my 3-year MSN contract a couple months early in September 2002, MSN and D&B RMS (collection agency) have been trying to shake me down for the full $400 rebate I received when I purchased my PC in 1999. According to the contract and written documentation from MSN customer support, I only owe them 70% of the remaining days of service. That's about $46.10.
I strongly recommend avoiding business with MSN.
