N2 Publishing is a all around nightmare to small business owners trying to get their name out there and spending lump sums of money to get nowhere! I first met with the Sales rep/publisher who was getting the new publication started in mid December of 2013. I was entertained by their marketing strategy that the publication would help my business name and get exposure to our local community. I was also told that the publication would be printed and issued Jan or possibly Feb of 2014 (1-2 months after initial meeting). I also supplied the publisher with other leads to local business types that would be interested in the same advertising options.( ok no problem) As the crucial spring time months went on and no publication formed yet, I kept in contact with the company. I was being promised "oh next month we'll make it happen, and can't wait how about you". In that time frame a email was sent to me about attending " mixers" at local businesses that sponsored a meet and greet party. If you ask me these were marketing tactics for the publishers to get more companys to potentially sign up for more advertising.

As the months went on I still saw no publication released. Spring and summer are crucial times to start advertising for my construction company and that window was already closed. Before the first publication was finally released that August (7months behind! The publisher / sales rep charged me for the first months publication with a graphics design charge of $550.00 on top. I was appalled, especially knowing that I had supplied them with the already" established" company logo, script, featured pic and info that I wanted. All they had to do was size the files to fit the publication, they didn't reinvent my logo or have screen time creativity for a $550.00 charge. So now the first publication comes to my mail box. The header title and logo of the publication magazine seamed very generic, like something I created in 6th grade computer class. The paper stock and color quality of the magazine was very nice. The photography and articles where very cheesy and disappointing. Photos of the featured families had people frowning, standing in front of blank empty like spaces with no creative elements. The articles were to feature people within the community but from what I gather the articles featured people in the community that edited and had something to do with the magazine. Seams like they were fishing for some subject matter and had nothing else to write about! This publication is featured in a very high end and respected residential community and to me it looked like a amateur, grade school year book. Not to mention my add was printed with awful glow in the dark orange script and featured my personal address and personal email. My ad should of featured my business address and business email that was given. The publisher Robyn Vorhees, sent me an email about changes and modifications to my add for upcoming publications. After strongly suggesting the changes made the original wrong add was ran for two more months publications.

As the publications were released my card was being charged monthly for what was like paying for a lease car payment. No formal invoices or receipts have been sent by mail and or email for billing. They also pulled a fast one and charged my card and account days before Christmas when the usual charges had always posted on the first of the month. So basically my card is being charged and money drawn for something not billed or on a specified date. I am tired of this circus wannabe show of advertisers and so called publishers. When my card was renewed for the new year and the number had changed, N2 was unable to further process tranactions from my account. They would not leave me alone, they also tried smoothing things over by wanting to feature me as a primary story for the publication, and by the way' we need that credit card number from you or we will have to send it to collections. What a bunch of b.s. this is. So for the last 7 publications I have not received any potential business calls, or opportunities, heck I was even hoping for a prank call. I am done with N2 publishing! I have shown these publications to numerous professionals and business people that didn't sign up.. they find these to be hilarious and yet awful DO NOT SIGN UP BUSINESS OWNERS BEWARE!!

I own my own advertsising agency and deal with media, big and small for a number of clients. Working with Robyn Vorhees and N2 publications is a nice refresher to just being another dollar for the big media. Robyn gives attention to my account to make sure my ads are right (trust me, it's great to have a second pair of eyes), the deadlines are met, and that I am getting success for my clients. If my ad isn't generating calls, she always has an idea to try to help make the phones ring! If all of my vendors were as on point as Robyn Vorhees is, my job would be so much easier. Can't wait to continue to see the success of the publicaiton and to be part of it!

N2 has been a great networking opportunity

My Company signed on with Robyn last year and we have had a great experience. We were able to make our ads seasonal to fit our needs, she was always great to remind me of deadlines so I could freshen up my ad and has always made me feel like we were/are important.

N2 is a different kind of advertising opportunity because it is a smaller publication that focuses on its community members. The content is about real people and the target deomographic are upscale/residential communities. They mix their print ads with the opportunity to network socially with other business owners at different events. This is a MUST, as much as I have said networking is BS, it is actually a necessity. Robyn showed me the light and now I try to make the mixers as much as I can.

We hosted a small promotional event at our facility that has now grown into a large annual event! So if you give a little, trust the process and network you can get in front of some great people and just one connection can pay for your advertising.

I would also like to mention that when it comes to advertising for small business owners, sometimes it can be like throwing darts at a dart board. You try different things and hope that it will work. Wihout proper tracking advertising can be a big waste of money. My suggestion is always to add a special deal that makes each ad stand out, use a tracking phone number or train your staff to always ask how new customers heard about you and jot it down. Robyn has never promised anything outragous. Results cannot be promised. Again, this is a small, intimate way of reaching a niche clientele and the other half of is getting out of the house and networking. If you only do half of it you can expect half of the results.
