I received several high pressure phone calls from NADN and finally gave in. It all sounded very interesting and convincing.

On August 5th I talked to a Mr. Bob Guerette on the phone and signed up for the following services: Tax Break mallforall.com, Elite Individual 1 year, Living Trust.

The pricetag: $ 5,485.00. I don't know what I was thinking, but I gave that Mr. Guerette my bank information (check no., routing no. and so on) on the phone.

Later I got really nervous and checked out NADN on the Better Business Buerau website. Oh man!!! I should have done that earlier!!! Then I entered "NADN" in my search engine and the information I got was scary, to say the least. So the same evening I entered my bank's website and stopped the payment on the check.

The next day I called Mr. Guerettes secretary and explained the whole thing. She gave me a customer service no. and told me to call them. That's what I did and the representative I talked to, told me to write a letter of cancellation and fax it to them. I wrote the letter on August 6th and was finally able to fax it on August 8, because the faxline was constantly busy, even at night.

The representative told me, after receiving the fax, somebody from NADN would call me. Nobody called, but today, August 12, I received an invoice from them, the amount, of course: $ 5,485,00.

One more thing: I talked to Mr. Guerette again on August 8 and also told him about my cancellation letter and about my decision not to do business with a company that has such a bad reputation. He told me, he won't waste my time anymore and hung up.

Can anybody tell me, if they have the right to still ask for that money. Do they have any legal right to get the

$ 5,485,00 from me or don't they have a chance? I didn't sign anything, all I did, was to give them the check info, which was my big mistake. Do I owe them the money?

So, the bottom line is: they haven't ripped me off yet, but they are trying.

I am in awe about the high pressure sales tactics, that

Mr. Guerette used on me. I cannot count the times I told him no, it's too much money, I'm not interested, I can't do this and so on and so forth. Still he turned me around. I couldn't believe it afterwards. It's like those guys are using hypnosis on you. It's almost scary.

What about that invoice? Any advice? How should I react now?
