National Audit Defense Network NADN - Awayirs ripoff; delayed sending promised material; refused to close and refund; material is useless; never reviewed submitted taxes Las Vegas Nevada
I was approached by phone to get a package of audio, visual, and printed material and contact information for doing my taxes (finding all the right deductions) and reviewing past years' taxes to get money back from 'overpayment'. The package cost $159.00 and I was to receive my package within a week. Sounded great...
Following this call, where I paid for this package based on the fact that I would have 30 days to review it and get a refund if I was not satisfied, I received several calls from different "departments" of the NADN--most wanting to verify information (which was almost totally incorrect!) and offering additional 'benefits' from NADN.
One month passed and I had no package yet.
I called them on their 800# and asked about the package. First I was told it was sent out on November 14th. Then I was told it was not sent and would be resent immediately. The sales calls continued. I asked the callers to cancell my order and only got more sales pitches. I called the 800# again and asked to cancell but only got more excuses on the delayed package that no one could explain it's whereabouts. There was no information online about cancelling, so I emailed them--no response.
Out of desperation, I wrote them a letter to request the cancellation I could not get on the phone or online. No response. So, I filed with the Attorney General's office of Nevada about the problem. I have not heard anymore on this matter and the whole thing began in mid-October 2003!! (I did receive a package in February; however, it was full of information which was of little use to my personal situation--even though the first call was to "tailor" the package to my needs!) I'd gladly return this stuff, but I know it will not enable a refund.
I ask only how one is to get a 30 day trial when nothing arrives to try and then have no recourse to get a refund of the $159.00 paid. The stuff I got is certainly not worth the $, nor is their 'customer support' department.
FYI today I received a notice that NADN is going bankrupt. Doubt I'll ever see that $ again!
