Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I am sooooo mad at these people!! I recieved a call to "update" our free listing in this directory, and they simply verified our physical address. I agreed that that was the correct address, and the guy i talked to said that someone from our company ordered this CD 3 YEARS AGO!!!!! i asked him why in the heck would he be calling now if someone ordered this 3 years ago, and he said that the cd had been backordered for that amount of time. i told this idiot OVER and OVER that this is not somthing i wanted for our company, and he said that it was free to review for 30 days. so i was like whatever send the stupid thing. he told me that i would receive a call from their shipping department and they would verify our address. i said ok, and they called about 10 minutes later. all they said to me was "is this your correct address"? i told them yes. and i didnt think nothing of a "FREE" cd to preview.

yesterday i not only got the invoice after a month later, but the cd came as well. i didnt even open the stuipd thing and as soon as i got it, i packaged it up and overnighted it back to them. i called the company to tell the what i was doing and not to send me anything else, and they went into this huge ordeal about a refund policy. OK!! the invoice was for $414, and they told me that i was obligated to pay the return fee of $349. i was soooooo livid on the phone with these people, and i told them that there was no way in he** that i would pay for something i didnt order. i told the sales rep. i was talking to to connect me to his supervisor, which he did, and i told him the same thing, that i DID NOT order this, and i refuse until the day i die to pay this outrageous invoice. so he told me that he had me recorded accepting the order, and agreeing to the amount.

i told him to let me listen to it, and he played it for me. they edited me saying ok to our address verification, and turned it around to make it sound like i was saying ok to the order and the $400 invoice along with it.

whats funny to me is that, when the shipping department called me that day, i had a coworker next to me telling a joke and i was laughing at the same time they asked me if our address was correct. so they edited it to where i am laughing and saying OK to the shipment, and the $400 invoice.

WHAT A CROCK OF GARBAGE!!!!

i am outraged that people like this even exist. they are the lowest form of scum i believe exists. well i feel better now that i talked about this horrible company.

I will refuse this payment and take whatever means necessary to keep them from doing this again to myself or someone else.

WHATEVER YOU DO, do not say "YES" at any time during any of these calls. they are also under the name "IT DATA DIRECT" and "AMERI-SOURCE PUBLICATIONS" and a few others. our company has been scammed by these companies several times, although not a DIME has been paid to any of them.

I hope everyone out there never has to deal with these low-life creeps.

Have a good day everyone, and make sure you know who you are talking to when the word "free" comes out of their mouth. there is nothing free about any of this!!!

Prom Dress Rip Off

#2Consumer Comment

Wed, April 21, 2004

I ordered a dress from the Ciera Collection on the internet on APril 2, 2004 in the amount of 99.95. I selected 3-Day Residental mail and was charged an additional 19.95 on my credit card. My merchandise has never came and it is 3 weeks later. i ordered my prom dress in the hopes that i would get it in a good amount of time. I am not able to attend my senior prom because i did not recieve my prom dress by the company. I faxed a letter to the Ciera Collection about 1-week ago and i emailed the company. They have no phone number and when i called 411 to get the number to the company because i had the address, the operator said that they do not have any listings for the Ciera Collection in Colubus ohio if asked her to check ohio period still no number. This has to be a - b/c the company has made no efforts to contact me andi have contacted them on several occassions.

How to Fight NBIE, International Business Directories, IT Data Direct, World Wide Source and Ameri-source: Make THEM Answer YOUR Questions!

#3Consumer Suggestion

Dear Amber, These people are nasty, but they are just reading from a script -- trying to get you to say "Yes." The last one of these scammers who called me was from World Wide Source and I asked HER some pointed questions and made her admit she was calling from Canada (that's where they all really are, The Chesapeake Beach address is just a house that they use as a mail drop). If they call again just ask to speak with Garo or Vatchie (the owners of NBIE) and politely put them on the defensive. You might want to make a remark such as "Oh, you are just like World Wide Source, aren't you?" and allude to the fact that the Attorney General of Vermont banned them from using a Vermont "mail drop." World Wide Source also had to pay fines and give refunds to all Vermont victims of this scam. I think you can rattle their chain if you read the reports on this type of company posted here and use that information to counter their tactics. Oh, by the way, you can save yourself the postage by simply refusing delivery on their worthless products. Then THEY pay ALL the shipping and don't make a dime from you.
