My home went into forclosure in February 2017. I was flooded with letters from attorneys and other companies saying they can help prevent the process. One of the letters had a business card that said hope on the card with a local name and number.
I called this number and was directed to a person named Jacob Pierson at the number of
760-932-4011. This company told me they were a law firm and would work directly with my morgage company which is nationstar to get my loan modified.
They told me I had to make 3 trial payments of the amount of 1123.75, which would go to my morgage company. They had to be a money order and had speciific dates, with this I was told if I make the payments on time this amount would be my new morgage payment.
I made all payments on time and after that I was contacted by them to tell me my modification was approved. I received documents from nationstar stating I was approved and my trial payments were 1424.29. I called nationstar to question this and was told this was the payment.
I then called Jacob Pierson again and was told the initial 3 payments were for the fees from national civilian law firm the fees they charged to get me the modification. None of that money went to nationstar.
I was totally scammed and taken advantage of by this company.
