I am writng about a National Field Sales Association ripoff that has Palmetto Marketing as the primary company. The company was supposed to sponsor some high school kids's trip to Africa.

A nice looking young man came to my door tryng to raise money for his trip to Africa. He showed me some magazine prices and asked if I were interested in purchasing any. I looked at the information and it seemed legitimate due to the seal and the compay address on the front of the receipt.

I ordered a Cookbook Digest subscription that included 6 issues. This order was placed in November 2000 and I have yet to receive my order and it is now November 2002. I tried contacting the company and it said that no such company existed. The sales company was under the direction of R Spencer and the salesperson was J Gray. The price of the subscription was $19.97 + $8.00 processing service. I wrote out check #987 for $27.97 that cleared in less than 7 days. I felt that 90-120 days for an order to be processed as a bit much but since the address was on the receipt I would be able to notify the company when time was expired for my order to arrive.

I took one more chance at looking for this company and I pulled up Palmetto Marketing. I hit the jackpot because this is where I found the rip-off report. I guess that trying to help someone who wants to explore other Continents isn't always good.

This type of scam makes you not want to order anything from anyone ever.

Ys, Palmetto marketing is a rip off I have checked back with 13 of the people that i have sold to and only 3 of them have receved their magizines after 7 mos. If any teenager comes to your door and wants you to help them win a contest to go to mexico and a 1,000 doller cash reward don't buy!!!!!!!!!! i worked for them for one and a half years and they are a slave camp!!! They force teen agers to work in a blizzard or a hurrican(no exaderation!!) they pay next to nothing and treat their employies like dirt til they are of no use to them and then just leave them in whatever state thay are in. BE CAUTIOUS PLEASE!!!!!
