National Magazine Exchange Ripoff Extreme high pressure by them to try to get me to subscribe to several magazines. I informed the lady that I did not want any magazine subscription. She asked me in four different ways about subscribing. Clearwater Florida
Dear all consumers: Extreme high pressure by them to me on the phone to try to get me to subscribe to several magazines. I informed the lady on the phone that I did not want any magazine subscription. She asked me in four different ways about subscribing and each time I said I was not interested and did not want magazines, When she said she would get her supervisor, I then hung up immediately. I received a pink notice in the mailbox saying that I should call and 800 number regarding a sweepstakes worth one millions dollars. On the pink paperwork was the number 1800-444-6247 and an ID number also. I called that 800 number from a pay phone and got a young lady who answered the phone saying national magazine exchange. I said to myself, here goes some telemarketing talk to get me to purchase stuff. Well, I was right. She said I would be entered into the contest, and to make a story short, she read me about 50 magazine titles. I said to her I was not interested, but she kept on insisting, and insisting. I believe that she inquired thru different tactics roughly 4 times asking me about ordering several magazine. After I said to her no at least four different times, she then said quote: (let me get my supervisor). I was already angry inside, being mad at myself for even bothering to call that free number, but stupidly, I did. Well I was Red Hot, and when I heard let me get my supervisor, that was enough for me. I slammed down the receiver. I did not give her any of my accounts or anything. The only thing she got out of me was my cell phone number, but if I am bothered by them, I will put a block on it. To all of you out there I say simply, put that pink notice in your shredder.
