Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This is a well organized sham which deals with various companies that advertise cheap travel and hotel services.  They claim that they resale travel packages from corporate sponsors who do not use these packages so that they can sell they cheap or cheaper than the regular cost of the packages.

The companies advertise these specials by using a fax machine and faxing them to businesses and personal faxes advertising a number of destinations with hotel and roundtrip tickets to the destinations here in the US and abroud.  These locations include Orlando, Fl., Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, NV, Miami Beach, LA, NYC, or Wash DC.

They also advertise cruises to Bahamas, Hawaii, Mexican Riviera, Caribean, Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Playa Del Carmen, or Puerto Vallarta.  Prices vary depending on location.

They give you a one hundred number such as 1-888-737-3666, 1-888-400-3957, 1-800-861-7313 to pay for and receive your certified mail travel package.  (It seems to me, this ought to be a federal offense due to the fact that they are using the U.S. Mail to commit this fraud).

One is required to have them paid by withdrawal from bank account directly.  When one receives the package, he or she is required to send an activation fee within 30 days of receiving the certified mail travel package.  This payment must be by money order and sent to them at a particular address.

I paid $148.00 each for my wife and I to reserve a package for hotel and round trip airline tickets for a 3 Day/ 2 night package to Chicago.  We then had to send a money order for two $69 activations which totalled $138.00.   The money was sent to the following address:

National Services

13280 Northwest Freeway Suite F-264

Houston, Texas 77040

I waited and heard nothing.  I found out that I could call the following # 1-888-400-3957.  I have dialed this number many times with no real person answering.  A recording comes on and states they are not in the office, talking with someone.  We can leave a message which is never returned or we can send an e-mail to [email protected].

After numerous attempts to speak to someone, I asked a friend of mine to go by and see if he could talk to someone who could help in securing the travel package.  He discovered that this was a UPS Store and that F-264 was a post office box and not an office or suite.  He asked the manager of the UPS if the business was legetimate.  The manager (Bob) would not say any thing since it was a disclosure matter.    He suggested that a complaint be filed to the National UPS office.

I have found out that Astro Travel uses the e-mail of [email protected].  There telephone number is 1-800-861-7313.

There is being furnished the following information which may be helpful in catching and prosecuting the individuals in this sham:

Possible name of travel package representative       -             Charles Davidson

Possible name of manager or person in charge         -             Mike Gonzalez

Possible address used in mailing packages 5380 W. 34th  # 164 Houston, Texas

Other names that may be involved with this sham are the following:

Christopher Jackson & Robert Thornton (He claims to be General Manager),

Ed Roberts (He also claims to be General Manager)

Business names used are :  VIP Wholesale, ASAP Travel, American Travel, Worldwide Services, Fun in the Sun and Celebrity Productions in Florida.

The Phone numbers used are 1-877-239-1695, 888-400-3957 ext. 102 and ext. 200.

There are two post offices boxes used and connected to Worldwide Services LLC are 542016 and 38618 Houston, Texas.

A post office box in Austin, Texas is 49673 with a possible physical address of 807 Brazos, Austin, Texas.  The telephone in Austin may be 888-758-4449.

I do believe that a massive effort to stop this sham should be initiated so other innocent people are not hurt financially.  All the individuals responsible for this sham including the personnel call centers should be prosecuted.  I had several of them hang up on me when I directly reported that I thought they were selling a sham.  They all hung up immediately.
