My latest SBC bill had a $14.31 charge for ILD Teleservices, Inc. (800-433-4518) When I called ILD, they explained that they are a billing service for Nationwide Voice and gave me 800-773-5219 to call Nationwide.
Then, on last page of the bill, I've noticed explanation for Nationwide. It said, "Nationwide Voice VMail Monthly Fee" - $12.95, and taxes below, adding up to $14.31.
Amber from Nationwide was not pleasant. She said that on Dec 6, I've requested an 800 number service. And, supposedly, I did it on line. When she asked, "So, do you want to cancel it?", I responded, "I want you to correct your error! This is a fraud" She gave me confirmation # and promised to issue credit.
I never requested an 800 number, never requested a voice mail or anything else from Nationwide.
