I took my car in to have the head gasket replaced as well as resurface the head, and paid $1200. I was given a 12 month warranty. After the job was done my car started having problems which i was told were due to different other reasons. After months and months of trying to convince them that they had made a mistake and after paying other large amounts of money for unecessary parts and labour, a test finally proved them wrong and they agreed to take the car back and fix it since it was still under warranty. They confessed that the first installation was a total disaster and that the mechanic (at that time) was the one to blame.

It took them ONE month to complete the reparations and when they were done, not only was my car in the same if not a worse condition from when i brought it in, but now i had parts under the hood which were broken, intentionally missplaced, and even purposely left out in order to ensure my return which would result in more ripping off.

As far as cosmetics goes, my engine looked like a train wreck with wires out in the open and things out of place which did not exist when i had originally brought the car in! The rudeness i had to cope with is indescribable. I was treated the worse way possible instead of at least being treated with the respect of a paying customer. I highly recommand that you stay away from this place and I would not wish my experience with Nationwise Transmission & Auto to my worse enemy. I do not know how this excuse for a shop stays in business with the way they treat people. If I would have the experience, time, and money I would not hesitate to sue these people for all the headache they have brought me and for an unfinished job which has transformed my car into a piece of junk.

Unfortunately for the honest mechanics and business out there, places like Nationwise Transmission & Auto along with their staff give them a bad reputation. It is sad when places such as Nationwise take advantage of honest people just because they can get away with it! Is there nothing anyone can do? Are we supposed to just give up the thought of honesty and respect? Once again, places like Nationwise do not even have the slightest idea of what those words mean...let alone put them into practice!

I own Nationwise Transmission. I am very familiar with this customer. We replaced the head gasket on his vehicle a little over a year ago. He came back several times complaining about different things and tried to blame the head gasket for his problem. We ran a block test which confirmed there was no problem with the gasket. He then complaned he did not have good compression on two cylinders. Having has enough of this lad I called his dad in and ran a block test and acompression test with the dad present, The block test came back neg. and the compression test showed 110 to 115# per cylinder. His dad agreed there was no problem at that time. The lad likes to work on his own car.In his infinate wisdom he had removed the factory intake system which contains the MASS AIR FLOW METER and installed a racing ram air intake. Any one with automotive knowlege knows you cant do that this car is computer operated. It wont run right. Jack
