We get numbers from the consumer, it can not be helped if someone goes into the Dr or ER or hospital and gives incorrect information, but this can easily be solved by simply calling back with the reference ID and telling the collector it is a wrong #. This can also be done nicely, not need for rage, anger or disgusting language because we have the # only because it was given to us. Another scenario: your 14 year old sister could have gone to the Dr for something through school and the information didn't get filed under your parents name (by your sister or person in charge from school) in this case all someone has to do is call in and say "hey my name is *****" then the collector will politely say "I am sorry we must have the wr#" It is this simple.

You can go ahead & tell them to ignore me I am tired of being screwed. Ya'll have ruined my creditably. Ya'll don't even know me, you & stacy seem to think everyone Is lying on rip-off report. Ya'll don't know my situations so I don't care if you believe my complaints or not, ya'll have been rude to me for no reason. Ya'll told me to shut up & have been very rude towards me for no reason. Maybe you should look @ yourself & how you treat people. I could careless If people hate me on this site they don't even know me.

Oh boy. This little report turned into something else. To the OP: While they *may* actually remove the # from their list without a C&D letter, they probably won't, because how many true debtors will claim that when someone calls? There used to be a long time between phone # reuse, and now it's almost no time at all before the # gets reused.

We just don't believe you. The only person who hates YOU- is you. You have this personal vendetta against everyone who disagrees with you. That does mean the rest of us hate you because we disagree or do not believe you. You are the reason no one believes you, figure it out Are you telling the truth? I don't believe that it was a wrong number because the first call had 800-511-8670 on the Caller ID, and the second call was unlisted. I BELIEVE, BUT AM NOT CERTAIN, that they usually call back unlisted if they don't get you on the first call.

I don't care who hates me on this site they don't even know me which I keep pointing out. But I will not back down or give up which Is what they want. They just don't like the truth. I don't care If they hate me. I think its kind of funny they hate people they don't even know. Stacy has issues she really needs help, she reminds me some of those crazy women who Is locked up In prisons. She doesn't have the right to talk to anyone how ever she wants. But she Is to stubborn she & others think they can get away doing It to me. I really feel sorry stacy & others because what they right Is for everyone to read.

Charles Why do you insist on carrying out your own personal vendetta against people just because we do not believe or agree with you? Do you think you are actually helping the poster with their issue? Any response you provide should help the original poster- you are not doing that. When you give bad advice based on your personal vendetta of course the rest of us are going to tell the OP to disregard what you are saying. All we have ever asked is that you stop making up stories and pretending to be others who agree with you. You need to understand that we DO KNOW it is you. You have made your personal issues everyone else's problems - making it less likely anyone will ever believe you. In effect you are destroying your own credibility. NCO did not get the reputation without doing all the illegal things that they do. Stop misleading the OP - you know if they call what will happen and it WILL NOT be good for the OP. You are all overreacting. Yes...NCO is one of the worst but they do have some morally educated people there and if you just call them, give them the number they are calling and explain to them that this is the number of a cell phone that belongs to a 14 years old child and no longer to the debtor, they will remove it and stop calling. There's no need to waste a stamp on a C&D letter. Most of the time those letters "get lost in the mail" anyway and you have to resend them certified which will cost you even more. Not all debt collectors are the same. Keep in mind...they are people too.

I don't have a problem until you told me to shut up & attacked me for no reason. Stacy has treated me the same way. I have not said nothing to stacy, laurie out of the blue told me to shut up when I made a comment on an equifax complaint & that Is how It all got started. That Is one thing I don't put up with people being rude or hateful to me for no reason.

NCO is a bottomfeeder junk debt collector and they go after anyone they can regardless of whether or not it is the correct person. They are most likely trying to collect a debt that is not legally collectible. They will get nasty with whomever answers the phone They violate Federal law regularly and are probably trying to contact the person who had that number before your 14 year old sister. Unfortunately they do not stop calling when you call and ask - if you do not do it writing they will not stop. You can get help here www.budhibbs.com A consumer advocate website that specializes in debt collections and NCO is listed on this site as one the absolute worst out there. Collection Agencies do not like it when we refer people to this site - because they expose all the illegal nasty tricks they use to try and collect a debt that is not owed or legally collectible. The only people to ignore are the bill collector and the other person who told you to ignore Stacy - he gets angry with everyone that does not agree with him. Not sure what his problem is - other then he hates everyone and everything equally

Just send them a cease communications letter via certified mail with return receipt requested This is one of the worst third party collection agencies - dealt with them before go to www.budhibbs.com and read about these bottom feeders
