Hawk, If you were only 3 days late on your gas bill, why not just pay it like normal? Just write a check and mail it like normal. No big deal. If NCO was in any way involved, you were much more than 3 days late. FYI...Each state has its own statute of limitations for how long a debt can be enfoced through the courts. However, bad credit reporting is a minimum of 7 years by federal law. And, your car indurance premiums did not double due to this reporting. That is nonsense. My credit score went down to a 385 and I was surcharged about 20% increase of premiums. Not double.
