You send them a cease and desist letter stating they are not to contact you at your place of employment. You also request any communication regarding this collection is to be done in writing. Lastly, you request a validation of the debt. These requests have to be done in writing, directly to NCO. It would be in your best interest to send this letter Certified Mail, Return Receipt. You then file a formal complaint with your State Attorney General, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) against NCO for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) for harassment and abusive behavior. The FDCPA can be found at the Federal Trade Commission website at: http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.htm
