Nerium is a network marketing company.  That's not why they are a scam. Every MLM isn't a scam, and only ill informed people believe that.  But, some are which give the others a bad name.



here are some of the ways nerium scams their reps

 

1. Your back office can say "qualified to get paid" but if you are not qualifying at the second rank within the company, even though your back office says "qualified to get paid" they will keep your check that month and keep 100% of your residual commission paying you $0 for the month.

2. They don't have a return policy like they say.  If you return an item, used, or brand new, within their qualified return period, they will make you pay return shipping AND charge you a 20% restock fee.

 

3.  If you disagree over payment, you will be terminated.  I had a new rep who bought the $200 kit.  It never arrived.  Fed ex tracking showed it was returned back to nerium and was never delivered to her.  She called 6 times, asked for them to resend it.  They said, it would be a $20 fee to resend it even though her initial shipping fee was only $9.95, but why should she have to pay anything?  She said she already paid for shipping and never got her item that they need to resend it, because they have her package she paid for.  They refused to resend it without charging her $20.  She said forget this then, I don't want it.  Cancel and refund me.  They said sure, there will be a $30 FEE to cancel.  WHAT?  They were going to charge her a restock fee.  She said but I never got the item, you are not restocking it, I never had it.  Tracking proves I never even got it.  SO it was going to be $20 more to get the start up package resent or $30 to cancel.   Eventually someone named Sara told her they would resend it.  They never did after 20 more days.  She called her credit card to file a claim about a paid for yet not recieved package.  She WON in a heart beat since the tracking showed delivered to NERIUM.  Nerium then sent her a letter suspending her for life.  No reporting their fraudulent behavior to your credit card or they will suspend you.  Not too bad for her, but what if you were a rep with the company for a while, earnig thousands per month like me?  I got incorrectly shipped items on several occasions, changed auto ship etc and their pc system changed it back to things I didn't order.   I was not allowed to complain that I got $200 of extra items or I would be terminated and my checks confiscated. I had to just eat it every time they overshipped me items, eat it, or pay 20% to return them.

 

4. They tell you if you reach senior director, you can choose to receive 7 bottles of nerium for free or cash. I chose the free bottles and filled out my paper work. It took them 90 days to send me my 7 bottles the first time I earned it.  The next month, October of 2013, I earned it again.  On Jan 5th I called in for the 8th time asking when I would get my "free 7 bottles".  The same answer, "uh, we are behind shipping out bottles". Really? because brand new customers are getting their bottles within 3 days.  Why are the reps not getting their promised free bottles that they earned?

 

There are so so so many other little ways they screwed/scammed us some not worth mentioning because the details are confusing.  But just know this, their policy is Keep a Dollar over keep a rep.  Jeff Oleson, I am SO disapointed in you.   I was at Ameriplan following your words, then followed your skillset to your developed comp plan at Visalus, then followed you to your own company.  As a top rep within the MLM industry, I am disgusted by the way your company treats your reps.    They'd rather terminate my rep, then pay $8 to reship her the $200 package that THEY Had that she never received.  She could have made the company thousands of dollars per month. PS when I called in on her behalf 3 times and asked to speak with a manager for help, I was told there weren't any, was no higher level, higher power up within the company.  And for a rep, knowing that they treat your reps so bad, how can you build a team and a business on that philosophy?
