Complaint Review: NetComm Wireless-US - Atlanta Georgia

This has just happened to me! I just didn't feel right after the vague answers especially after 'hiring me'. Then all of a sudden I need to 'purshse product to do the job and must start work ASAP. This is what I was sent.

We are very pleased with your listed qualifications and would like to conduct an online interview to discuss the duties within the job, along with the pay scale. Your information has been forwarded on to the Head of Operations Manager, Ms Lora Davis . She will be conducting the interview, via Yahoo Instant Messenger.

Then I get:

 This is strictly an online and work from home job the working hours are flexible and you can chose to work from anywhere of your choice,the pay is $24 per hour during full working hours and the training is $18 per hour and will be getting your payment weekly via check or direct deposite working 30 to 40 hours weekly, if you are employed you are going to be working as a full employee and not an independent contractor. We have two working sections which are (Morning and Evening sections)..The Morning section begins from 8am-1pm and Evening section 2pm-7pm Monday to Friday..You are to choose a convienent section weekly.... OK ? Taxes..We will discuss tax planning with you prior to the year-end and review tax law changes in order to maximize your tax saving opportunities. With an effective tax plan, you will have greater assurance of Tax been taken care off by the company..

NOTE: NETCOMM WIRELESS LIMITED. is a Better Business Bureau registered company(BBB).The most efficient workers from this 16 teams will be promoted to the company office,earn $6,000 per annual given a car and a house,at the end of the year,this will be 4 efficient workers from the 16 teams.10% taxes will be deducted from your salary monthly by the company.The company is doing this to make this citizens proud and have income to take good care of their family. Then after a very short 'intereview' I get:

We have made our decision and I am pleased to inform you that you have just been confirmed qualified for this position.You are welcome to NETCOMM WIRELESS LIMITED. You are now given a chance to show your commitment, charisma, diligence and be a productive employee. CONGRATULATIONS and Welcome to NETCOMM WIRELESS LIMITED.

 My superior's will reach you via e-mail or phone for your Position offer-documents and your working paper's. Also they will put you through our company guidelines under US Human Resources Laws and Regulations. Your salary will be $24 per hour and you will be receiving your payment via Check as earlier stipulated by you. 

Sounds great right. It did to me also. I thought that was it. Then she stated that she would contact me again in 2 hours. I'm thinking why???

Then once I log in I get:

You will be needing to purchase some working materials now for the new position.

CheckSoft(Home&Business) Check paper(One box) MICR Magnetic ink

(I'm thinking what does this have to do with the position)

So then I ask: Will there be any tax papers I need to file or documentation that I need to send the company before the training starts?

[They say:] Not neccessary for now.. You need to start work ASAP.

I ask: What are the next steps to start work? I already have a home office and all in one printer. The items I can get this weekend. Is there a VPN or supervisor contact that I need to get started? Can I start the orientation now or do I need to purchase these products first?

[They say:] You will start all that as soon as you have all working materials ready.

Finally, I said: Ok. Just making sure that I am clear. First , I need to pick up these materials. Second, contact you for follow up. Then the training can begin. In the earlier chat, you spoke of some materials being sent to me as well. Is that correct?

[They say:] Yes..nothing more for now...

It just did't feel right. I kept searching for scam and could not find anything. But it seemed ' too easy' and 'too vague'. Thak GOD I found this before I wasted anymore time. I need a job! It is not ok that people are doing this to others. I'm so upset about this.  I hope this helps someone as well.

Thank you for your post. I was going to try ad borrow money to get the supplies for this 'new opportunity'. I feel so foolish, but grateful that I went with my gut and continued to look before moving further.
