I, too, am seeking funding for post-secondary education and thought that checking out government grants was a great idea! So, after numerous emails from Grant Writer Pro, I decided to order their CD. I placed the order on 12/6/07 and then called on 12/7/07 to cancel the website subscriptions. I spoke to a "customer service rep" named Clarese, who gave me two different cancellation numbers. Imagine my surprise that I continue to be billed 9.95 per month by this company....even after cancellation! I've been billed for Dec, Jan and Feb. Do NOT fall for this scam!!!!

I contacted he email address for Ryan that I found on this site in another consumer's complaint. I emailed him on Saturday with the information, including the customer service rep name AND the two cancellation numbers that had been provided to me. First thing Monday morning, Ryan's assistant emailed me to tell me that they were refunding the entire amount that I was billed back to my account. Here are a couple of things that I knew, but thought I should reiterate via this site: 1. Read ALL of the fine print in a contract. Make a note of any phone numbers that you must call for cancellation as well as the time frame. Then, MAKE THE CALL! 2. Jot down the name of the Customer Service Rep, the cancellation numbers, the phone number that you called as well as the date. 3. KEEP THE ABOVE INFORMATION!! 4. Check your banking accounts to make sure that you are not being billed erroneously. Call the company AT ONCE if you are billed after cancelling. As consumers, we have a responsibility to protect ourselves. Thanks for this website and the information posted here!
