I have used Network Solutions for my business and for clients for more than 10 years. I have brought them tens of thousands of dollars in business over the years. I am allegedly a "GOLD VIP" customer. They are changed from an excellent hosting, web site and domain company which worked well with non-techs to a money selling rip off in the last two years.

I had two hosting packages, one small site package, and multiple web addresses when I added a $6.99 mobile site last year. Within a few months I tried to cancel it, and the troubles began. They took it down leaving a message that insinuated that it was absent for non payment. I tried to repoint my urls away for it but that remained. A couple times a month NS would charge my account $6.99 and then credit it back. This has gone on for more than six months in spite of multiple emails and calls.

Three months ago I decided to close my business-- and discovered there is no way on the site to close or cancel services or automatic renewals. You can only call a number where you will be on hold for more than 20 minutes. The "live service" is only for sales. They simply give you the number.

Three times I have called and been assured that everything except one hosting package and two addresses will be cancelled. It still has not happened.

Last week I spent more than an hour getting to "Mary050" who gave me a work order number of 10584945292 assuring me that all other services would be cancelled within 48 hours. That did not happen. Two days ago I sent an email to [email protected] saying that if they couldn't cancel the services requested, they should cancel all. Today my bank was charged for monthly renewal on all the services - including those I have been trying to cancel for three months now.

I went into the site to try to remove my payment information, but the site will not allow me to remove the card. I again tried the "live chat" option and was referred again to the primry support number where I again punched in all the account numbers and specifically the fact that I wanted to cancel services. An automated voice then said it would be "more than 15 minutes" -- at this writing it has been 25 minutes and holding.

How can they continue to charge me for services I have cancelled through their procedures? This is pure and simple thievery. I want nothing more to do with Network Solutions and am willing to give up my personal site and urls -- with many years of equity in them -- just to stop them from stealing from me.

They have changed in all the worst ways. There needs to be as easy a way to cancel services as there is to obtain them. In this case there is NO way to cancel - no matter what you do.
