Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
The company was hired to put in a laminate wood floor in my kitchen and replace existing metal railings in kitchen and stairway with wood rails all on the same day so there was no safety issues because I have 2 samll children.

The floor was installed and the railing removed. The floor installation was not professional nor was the salesman with whom we were dealing with. He was very dishonest and made promises that he just never kept. They called us the next morning (after we were left with out a railing in the 2 level of the home), just to tell us that they were bailing out of the contract and were not going to install the railings.

Just before telling us that, New Carpet Now Inc. charged the remaining balance on my credit card without my approval. The manager is not truthful and in no way helped us in this situation.

I strongly advise no one to use this company as you will not be happy with the people or their work.

False Report

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Wed, September 13, 2006

To tell you a little bit about our company, we are family owned and operated and strive to take care of every one of our customers. We have satisfied thousands of customers over the years and having only this one complaint against us is no so bad. We do not like to see negative comments about us, especially when it is not the whole story. The salesman that did help this customer is no longer with us, and actually was fired after this incident. We apoligize and have apoligized deeply to this customer. Our salesman at the time did make a promise to this customer without us knowing all the details. We are a flooring company not a remodeling company. We tried to help this customer as much as we could by helping her with her railings but had to stop when we saw that the railings she wanted installed were not up to code, and we did not want to be liable for any future accidents that might happen because of the railings. This customer should have gotten a remodeling company to help her with her railings, not a flooring company. Again, we apoligize for this incident and for our ex salesman who put us in this situation.
