New Directions For Young Adults Original Rip Off Report Fairly Accurate- Court SETTLEMENT Misleading Deerfield Beach Florida
Garbage treatment center. Heavily reliant on unlicensed and relatively inexperienced interns to provide the clinical therapy. Rana Conoway, in particular, is a really bad clinican. Absolutely horrible. The grad student offers more insight then she does. Not a treatment plan in sight from any of the therapists. Dr. Kellen will throw one at you one day, a couple months in, and either he, the program director, or the assistant program director will make you sign it. But hey, you may get $20 out of deal. The drug abuse aspect of this program is an absolute joke. The IOP is not helpful at all. It is a waste of time and nobody and I mean NOBODY maintains any kind of sobriety from this. If it were helpful it would be one thing, but Drew nevertheless has the audacity to charge roughly $1,800 a day to your insurance company for this program as well as who knows how much for the urine analyses. The mentors are average. Some care, some don't. Dr. Rubin and Dr. Kellen are both very good psychologists but aren't very helpful. Dr. Kellen's plate is too full. He's either on the phone with a parent, doing something neuropsych test related or supervising an intern. You won't get more than 10- 15 minutes with him. Dr. Rubin is a scumbag. He's more of a businessman at this point in his career, which quite frankly is his prerogative. However, he's very pompous and downright unprofessional. I was once going through a really tough time; I was on the VERGE OF SUICIDE, and needed to talk to him. Him and his wife proceeded to both tell me to leave his office. The two most helpful people at this place are the academic guy and the lady who helps you find jobs. They're very good at their jobs and actually make a difference in helping the young adults become independent.
