Newcastle Homes in Frisco, Texas, Richwoods subdivision is a nightmare. They have horrible customer service, terrible communication, and the worst follow-up of builders. Colleen is anything but delightful to work with.

This is not a custom builder. Newcastle Homes just wants you to write a check and not bother them with questions. If you are a family with more than two kids, it is best to stay away from this builder.  They do not have time for you and they think three+ kids in a family is too much.

If you are looking to build a very nice home and invest 6 figures, take your money somewhere else.  They do not want to work with people. They do not want to be bothered or talk to you.  They will not return phone calls or emails, at least not in a reasonable amount of time.

They are incredibly disorganized and do not keep their word, even if you give them a check to hold a lot.  They will lie to you and if someone comes behind you who does not want as much custom work, they will give your lot away.  Terrible thing to do to a family with children who is excited about building a home and needs assurance that the company will keep their word and honor the check you have given them to do business.

Avoid disappointment and choose another builder.  Newcastle Homes in Frisco Richwoods is not worth your time or money.  While they build a nice home, the owners are not nice and they do not train their staff to assist you.

Newcastle Frisco Really Bad Customer Service

Kind of odd that you would take the time to share your Disney-building experience with Newcastle here, on a negative site.  Sounds kind of fishy, like maybe Newcastle knows they did wrong and want to CYA.  Doesn't change our experience with Newcastle Homes in the Richwoods Subdivision in Frisco, Texas.  Yes, there are two sides to every story.  Our side is that the service absolutely sucked.  Seriously, we weren't trying to buy a loaf of bread for $2; we were trying to literally give them $800,000!!!!!  For that, absolutely we expected unparelled customer service.  Completely disagree that it was delightful to deal with the owner and his aloof wife who did not train the other staff in the model home to assist customers - those people were clueless on the business and disrespectful to the international customers.  That's fantastic that they were nice to your 3 kids - to your face; what you don't know is what they say to other customers behind your back.  Glad it worked out for you, really.  In the end, it was a total blessing that it did not work out for us because we found a better house and better builder who gets that six figures equals completely excellent customer service.  We just encourage people to look for the 'red' flags when dealing with this builder.  You will get a quality house, sure.  But, if you expect good, not even excellent, just good customer service, this is not the company for you.

My wife and I were among the first to build with Newcastle in this neighborhood, and the post above does not accurately reflect our experience whatsoever....quite the opposite actually.  While all homebuyers are entitled to their own opinion and have their own experience with Newcastle, I can only say that my family and any other family (several) that we know in a Newcastle home in this development is very, very happy.  Sorry that you had a different experience, but very glad that the rest didn't.

It was a great buying experience for us....if anything, the owners and design team wanted to meet too much to ensure that our needs were being met and that we were building the home that we really wanted.  From the first meeting and throughout construction and even follow up, the builder and the owners met our expectations regarding communication, attention to detail, and overall customer service.  It was great to work with only three people throughout the process, rather than the "big corporate" type of builder who only wants to nickel-and-dime every upgrade and not fulfill promises (i.e. the buying experiences of others in the same neighborhood).

Again, sorry that you had a bad experience, but there are always two sides to every story.  Based on the volume of happy Newcastle homeowners in this neighborhood, I'd say that your experience was an anomaly.  With our full schedule and 3 kids under the age of 7, Newcastle was a delight to work with :-)
