Let me start by saying that i dont know how in the world Nextel stays in business with the way they treat customers.

my contract end date was 5/25/03, i went to a local nextel authorized agent 5 days before to change my service plan to a less expensive one.The rep called it in as a listen to the conversation,no problem. A week later i had a problem with my i90c phone. Took it in and the service dept. declared it unrepairable due to liquid damage. Called the insurance co. (signal Insurance), after they gave me the third degree, my claim was denied(very rudely) by their rep.

Called nextel to explain the situation theytold me without hesitation that i had no other choice but to buy another phone.

Keep in mind that this phone cost $250 and i bought insurance since day one of my contract.I decline and told them to cancel my service.Thats when they told me the cancellation fee of $200 applied.

In summary, they signed me up for another 1 yr. contract, without telling me anything. Wasted endles phone calls to rude and unwilling to help nextel reps. to tell them over and over again that i did not sign any contract.Finally the rep that signed me up, admitted to her boss that she failed to mention the contract and was cleared .What a hassle and very unpleasant experience. NEXtel NEVER AGAIN!
