I have received about 8 calls from this company. After the 3rd call, in 3 days, I asked to be removed from their call list, as i only have a cell phone and they were eating up my minutes, and I WAS NOT interested at all. After the 4th call, I spoke with a "supervisor" who assures me that my number would be taken off their lists. After another 3 calls I have had enough. Every time I was falsely assured that i would be taken off. They were always a bit snippy about it. Well, yesterday was my final straw. whenever they call, their number comes up "unavailable". The man started on his speech...I politely interrupted him. I told him again that i was not interested and i wanted to be taken off the list or I would contact my lawyer and press charges of harrassment. I told him that I understood that it was not his fault that I was not taken off. I stated that this number was a cell and that his company was wasting my minutes. He FLIPPED out and started screaming at me saying" EXCUSE ME!!!!!!????? Who do you think you are to waste MY time... You should just "@*&#@" listen you "@#&@#" and shut up for once" That was it.. I hung up on him and if they call back again I WILL be calling my lawyer. I also set my phone to record any call from an unavailable number. They will be sorry if they call me again.

Sick and tired of you!!

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sun, July 06, 2008

As an ex-employee who quit due to disgust with how management makes their workers harrass customers and punishes employees for not being aggressive, I hope you sue and win. The general phone number for the company (aka Special Data Processing) is 727-524-3600. This one always works, as it's the one employees use, too. Good to have for your records. It appears to me that the company is getting even more aggressive, letting their employees YELL at customers! Wow! Magazines are not a necessary item in this tough economic time, so they should be nice to their callers, now more than ever! When you get another call, tell them this, "For accuracy, this call may be recorded." They used to make us say this before each and every call. They record their calls, so why not record them too, but make sure to be upfront about it. The "supervisor" that salespeople transfer you to aren't really supervisors but verifiers, all they do is verify credit cards and try to talk you into closing the sale. As to talk to the team leader, whether you are talking to a regular salesperson (SSA) or "supervisor" (Verifier). Hope this helps.
