Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
To anyone thinking about investing in the Nouveau Riche investment scheme, THINK TWICE. The reasons follow.

The Nouveau Riche investment scheme was sold as a legitimate business opportunity wherein individuals are guaranteed multiple 6 figure incomes within the first year and 100% ROI within the first 60 to 90 days with an investment of $17,000 - $18,000. The facts are:

Out of thousands of scholars in Nouveau Riche, no more than a handful make multiple 6 figure incomes. They tell you there are thousands of scholars, however, most of what they tell you cannot be independently verified.

Few if any scholars realize a 90 day ROI. Many scholars get frustrated because of the deception and stop working the investment scheme after months of frustration.

Investmesments of $30,000+ are common place with no ROI.

The company is structured such that complaints for fraud, misrepresentation, deception are ignored and kept quite. Management does not respond in a timely manner and then only in a half hearted manner. The founder of the company washes his hands of the complaints.

They require products purchases as part of the initial investment and then deny this requirement after the authorized return date (3 days) has expired.

They sell the investment scheme as NOT MLM, however, after you invest they tell you that selling to family and friends is the key to success.

The selling process involves initial deception followed by conference calls with other reps validating the deception (3 ways).

Nouveau Riche has a Board of Regents that is structured to handle complaints. Inherently, members of the Board of Regents subscribe to the same practices which makes resolution to problems all but impossible. How do you discipline one scholar for activities in which all parties are involved?

They tell you that there is extensive training and they are genuinely interested in your success. After they get your money, this training and support is elusive.

They tell you that seminars are the key to lead generation. They induce you to invest in seminars that are supposed to be a working model that is consistent in results based upon prior success. The reality is...the seminars are a poorly working model...the speaker demonstrated limited skills...and did not distribute the limited leads to the investors as promised.

The products by Nouveau Riche have very high entry points. They encourage you to buy the entire package at a cost of $15,685 plus expenses. The value of these products in relation to the price is questionable. The profit per sale is 60 - 70% because the products are over priced.

I'm New ISA and Been to College

#2Consumer Comment

Tue, July 17, 2007

I am a new ISA, haven't made money on the Marketing side of Nouveau Riche--yet!!, but have been to the college and let me tell you the value I have found in the extensive curriculum to be quite valuable and the degree to which they run it is unparalleled with professionalism and expertise. I have been to a four year university and I got more out of this one week for my future then I did in all 4 years at that university. As far as expensive? At $133 per credit hour that is a bargain for the quality and level of the education...go price any other curriculum out there for the complete package and see if it compares. My daughters college is costing $17,000 per SEMESTER...she still has four more years to go!!! Yikes! (I have also enrolled her in NRU for the August classes...for her own success! That's how much I believe in the information) My background is I had purchased 4 houses in the past, made good decisions with equity in all the purchases. I am, unfortunately, now going through foreclosures, and am working on shortsaleing my houses because I lacked the knowledge to secure that equity...the purpose or this comment? Had I the education that NRU provided to me back a few years ago I would be in a very desirable and lucrative position to invest and purchase even more properties and increasing my portfolio for a handsome and well deserved retirement with freedom to do what I wanted when I wanted. I learned so much and gained so much information that my future deals will be very beneficial and made with the knowledge I gained in the NRU environment. It is unfortunate that Steve or any other person had a bad experience but I can assure you that the bad experiences are few and far between. Only we as individuals are responsible for our own success and if something isn't working try something else, that is what Einstein did...over 1,000 times! I am from the Las Vegas territory and I can assure anyone who reads this that most of what Steve or anyone else is referring to has not been an issue here, and I have witnessed success on the marketing side more personally as my brother and close friends have seen some great rewards and success for sharing this wonderful tool with other people and how they too can also utilize the college education to gain enough knowledge to go out there and create their own wealth...long term. We were given NO GUARANTEES...NO ROI...NO 60-90 DAYS, it is only what each of us puts into our own success, what we want to invest into our own future that we reap great rewards. AND isn't it awsome that I can share that with my friends and family and any other person out there that I can make a difference to?? People, make your own judgements and go out there and experience your success. This is not a fly-by-night, it is an accredited college with valuable information for your use to go out there and create some mighty wealth for yourself, your family, your future. Listening to the mamby pamby's of the world is exactly why so many of us don't succeed...we quit before we ever get started. I am moving forward and I know my success will be exactly what I make it...and I can't wait for my friends and family join me in that success...that is what it is all about--Let's pay it forward!! Happy Success to each of you! Anita

Nouveau Riche is legit

#3Consumer Suggestion

Tue, September 13, 2005

I started with Nouveau Riche in February of 2005. I did purchase the highest package at the time, which costed a little over $15,500 (I honestly don't know where the figure of $30,00 came from). I came in to market and to invest. I admit that although I NO LONGER market the NR products, I DO study the courses purchased through NR and must say that it has changed my life. I have put into ACTION what the education has taught me. I netted over $13,000 on my first deal through a FORECLOSURE purchase. I have also just purchased a home at %72 of the list price. After repairs of $19,850 and figuring to resell the home at 97% of market value, I will NET a little more than $28,300. I learned this from Gavin & Tony's DVD on Short Sales. If you can't take the education and learn how to make money in real estate, then it's your own fault. Don't blame somebody else for your failures. I failed at the marketing, but I have NOT failed at the investing! I also have purchase 2 duplexes that cash flow at $186 per month each! All of this done through the education I've learned with Nouveau Riche.

Who are these people???

Here are some things that you should keep in mind about both Zhaun and Bob: Both were involved in the company from Day 1...give or take a week or so. Those who get in early do well, those who do not struggle. Of course Bob knows 8-10 people within 45 minutes of his house that are making 6 figures.....They were all the people who got in early! 2. Zhaun makes a ton of money marketing this stuff, and only $1000 per month in real estate. There's a reason that he's selling info rather than doing deals. He makes more. Same would be true of Bob. 3. Both of these people has a good thing going on and a lot to loose if their company gets a bad name. Of course they're defending it. What about the dozens and dozens of aspiring investors who are now $16,000 poorer and still don't know how to make money with real estate? (...and can't ethically market it to anyone they know). I've met them.....more than 8-10 of them for that matter! Just take note of who is saying what on these boards. Listen to the guy that's lost thousands rather than the ones that gain thousands when you sign up. He's got nothing to gain by posting here....Zhaun and Bob do.

Nouveau Riche Resolves My Issues To My Complete Satisfaction

#5Author of original report

Thu, March 11, 2004

This update is to let the readers of this complaint and the associated thread of updates and rebuttals, that I have resolved my dispute with the Nouveau Riche Corporation to my full and complete satisfaction. Therefore I am withdrawing my complaint against Nouveau Riche specifically, and ask you to reconsider my comments specific to the Nouveau Riche Corporation in light of their willingness to resolve these issues. As you know from reading this thread, my complaint against the Nouveau Riche Corporation had been that Nouveau Riche had not taken action against an independent colleague who had violated several corporate policies and used deceptive sales practices. I also alledged that this same independent contractor failed to deliver the service and support that he promised as part of his selling tactics. Nouveau Riche has addressed all of my concerns and has provided me a new representative for service and support. Because of Nouveau Riche's willingness to work through the problems that were caused by one of its independent contractors, I look forward to continuing my involvement with Nouveau Riche.

NOUVEAU RICHE BOARD OF REGENT SCHOLAR COMES CLEAN! At last we finally have some of the truth from Nouveau Riche. Bob Snyder finally comes to the rescue to enlighten us with partial truths about the Nouveau Riche opportunity and his involvement during this ordeal. This situation becomes more incredulous by the hour. I am amazed at the personal nature of the attacks by Bob, considering that the last time I spoke with Bob was a cordial telephone call on December 23, 2003, wherein he stated he was pissed off at Pat, was going to meet with Jim Piccolo and Pat the following week where Pat was to get a final ultimatum and that Bob would be contacting me no later than January 7th to give me an update as to what Nouveau Riche was going to do to help me! This is that follow up call from Bob? Is it any wonder why I'm telling those of you who are considering Nouveau Riche to think twice? I had two objectives for filing complaints with the numerous agencies and websites as outlined in my earlier update. The first objective was to stop the misrepresentation, deception, and exaggeration concerning the Nouveau Riche opportunity. This objective would benefit people considering this opportunity by helping them to know the facts before joining. The second objective was to seek remedy for the damages incurred by me and numerous other Nouveau Riche colleagues based upon the misrepresentation, deception, and fraud perpetrated by representatives of Nouveau Riche against us. The complaint filed here is intended to satisfy only the first objective. Bob has done us all a tremendous service. It's unfortunate that Bob's truths were withheld from the complainants until after they invested the funds as outlined in the complaint, thus we have this huge problem. It's also unfortunate that those within Nouveau Riche that use misrepresentation, deceit, and exaggeration while enrolling colleagues continue despite Bob's arguments. Bob has known from the very beginning that the complaints would have never materialized if the truth had been presented initially. I for one would have chosen to sign on for $75 instead of $15,685 plus business expenses had I been given the choice. Their argument has always been that you can't sell what you don't own yourself! It's interesting to me that this only applies to Nouveau Riche products and not to products like Lear Jets, computer software, business equipment, boats, cars, etc Bob tells us that it's an income opportunitynot a business opportunity or an investment scheme. The colleagues within Nouveau Riche during their sales pitches are the people using the terms investment, business opportunity, and Return On Investment (ROI). It sounds as though Nouveau Riche has a new definition as to the meaning of ROI. It apparently has nothing to do with the return of money invested into a venture or scheme but somehow translates into the purchase of real estate investment CDs and home study courses. The real issue here is that many have invested $30,000+ regardless of Bob's assertion, and none of these people has made a $1.00 from this scheme. Call it what you will Bob, however, you know as well as we do that the long distance approach to this business does not work and nobody in Pat's group is making money and certainly not in 60-90 days. Bob is trying to convince you that things alleged in the complaints didn't happen, can't be substantiated, and those of us that were duped into this deal are not sane. Bob and I discussed the seminar videotape, tapes of training calls, and the corroboration of the many as sufficient proof of the misrepresentation, deceit, and fraud. Bob never asked me to substantiate my proof beyond my verbal testimony and my letter of complaint filed with Jim Piccolo on November 17th. I went back and reviewed the tapes of my conversations with Bob for accuracy on this matter. Any suggestion to the contrary by Bob is another untruth. Anyway, how many people do you need, saying the same thing, to see the picture of what's happening here Bob? You suggested that my letter to Nouveau Riche dated November 17th, and our telephone conversations on December 9th and December 23rd contained all of the proof you needed! I could address each of Bob's partial truths and give you data sufficient to disprove his assertions or certainly I could prove to you the Nouveau Riche opportunity is not sold the way intended. Instead I will leave you with these final thoughts: Bob was the guy chosen to investigate and resolve these complaints with the Nouveau Riche colleagues. Instead he has chosen to ignore and attack. Suppose you joined Nouveau Riche and a problem arose. Do you really want to be in a company where the strategy of the management team is to ignore you and then attack you for seeking relief? There are numerous people who were deceptively lured into an investment of $30,000 + with Nouveau Riche and none of which have made any money. Nouveau Riche management obviously has no empathy or compassion for these problems or issues! Why get involved with people exhibiting this level of character? This is my last update to this complaint. You have sufficient data to make a wise decision. YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BELIEVE THE NOUVEAU RICHE SPIN OR YOU CAN GO FIND A MORE LEGITIMATE INCOME/BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY!

Nouveau Riche, The other side of the story!

#7UPDATE Employee

Mon, February 02, 2004

Nouveau Riche, the other side of the story. I need to make one thing perfectly clear before I begin this rebuttal, I am not an employee of the company; I am instead an independent contractor that sits on the Board of Regents for Nouveau Riche. I have dealt personally with Steve Simmons and Blake Jonathon Dulling on the so called unresolved complaints. I will attempt to answer each complaint or accusation as I read from each corresponding paragraph of Steve's complaint as follows. This is my rebuttal. #1 First of all Nouveau Riche is not an Investment scheme of any kind. It is a business marketing education, tools, systems, software and real estate information to aid individuals in making better informed decisions on real estate investing. #2 Nouveau Riche is not a Business opportunity, it is an income opportunity that interested marketers may align themselves with by purchasing an at cost starter kit for only $75.00. There is no product purchase or any other purchase required at any level of participation beyond the $75 starter kit and that is not even necessary in North Dakota USA. #3 there are no income guarantees of any kind promoted or endorsed by the company. Individuals participating in the marketing efforts become independent contractors and sales success and results vary widely. The idea that anyone of a sane mind would guarantee a certain ROI with in a certain time frame in a Commission only sales organization is ridicules. This is as absurd as any commission only sales person believing such a thing. Nouveau Riche has gone to great lengths to insure that every document, recruiting audio, flash presentation, web page and income opportunity Policy manual produced by the company states that there is no product purchase required, there are no guarantees of income of any kind and any examples used to present this opportunity are for extrapolation purposes only and should not be construed as guarantees of income or success, results vary widely based upon individual effort. #4 This is a young company. With a small, but fast growing sales organization. They do not have thousands of Scholars and while I am not sure just how many of them earn in excess of a six figure annual income I can assure you that I do and I know of at least 8 -10 other Scholars breaking the six figure mark that live with in a 45 minute drive of my home. Those are just the Scholars that live by me. #5 Steve keeps coming back to this 90 day ROI. I reiterate as I have done before that there are no guarantees of income represented by the company and all that is required to participate is the purchase of an at cost starter kit for $75.00. #6 This is inaccurate, investments of $30,000 are not common place and to be sure that everyone understands clearly, Nouveau Riche does not sell investments of any kind. We sell education, information, systems, tools and software. #7 I have read the correspondence between Nouveau Riche and Steve. The Company did respond in a timely fashion and after reading Steve's complaint the company asked me to contact him and obtain proof of his accusations against one of the company Scholars. He could not produce anything other than a he said/she said type of debate. The company cannot terminate marketers or take disciplinary action unless proof of policy violation is provided. To date Nouveau Riche is still awaiting audio and video files that Steve and his associates claim to have in there possession, but have never produced. #8 Not true. If you would like to view the company income opportunity presentation that has been around and unchanged since March of 2003 you just need to go to www.inwiththenew.com/presentation and see for your self. #9 Nouveau Riche is not an MLM program. Marketers are not compensated with over ride percentages on levels of product consumption. Nouveau Riche is a sales organization with a unique twist. Instead of hiring a large sales staff and running up the over head of the company they have chosen to wholesale product to a network of independent contractors like Steve. After a marketer becomes certified to sell Nouveau Riche product they are then able to purchase these products from the company direct at wholesale prices. This allows each marketer to be there own boss and pocket 100% of the profit from the products they sale. Once certified they make all of the money and they do not split their income with anyone. The formula is simple, purchase at wholesale, sell to the public at retail and keep a 60-70% profit for themselves. If they choose to sell to friends and family that is there business decision and has nothing to do with the company or it's policy. #10 The Seminar that Steve has made reference to has nothing to do with the Company. It was a seminar promoted by a few Independent Colleagues of Nouveau Riche who got together on their own. Steve was one of the sponsors of a seminar that was not endorsed or even acknowledged by the company. It was totally their seminar and their speaker. #11 The accusation of Nouveau Riche products being over valued is way off base. The company did extensive research against competing real estate educational companies before ever setting the price points. Every product the Company sells is competitively priced or discounted at a considerable amount below the suggested retail price of the Companies suppliers and/or competitors. If there are further questions or concerns about Nouveau Riche and/or its policies I would be happy to give further clarification based on my own personal experience and knowledge. Nouveau Riche Board of Regents Member.

Nouveau Riche Deceptive Selling Practices..THE FACTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES

#8Author of original report

Sat, January 31, 2004

It appears that some folks in Utah are questioning the basis for the complaint that was filed against Nouveau Riche and Pat Gillespie. As of this date, numerous complaints have been filed by Nouveau Riche Scholars with the Arizona BBB, the Arizona Attorney General, and The Ministry of Consumer Affairs in Ontario, The Federal Trade Commission, and this website badbusinessbureau.com. The limited number of complaints on this site does not mean there is no legitimacy of this complaint. There is a very legitimate basis for these complaints. These are not the whininess of poor souls who were too ignorant to thoroughly review pertinent information regarding the feasibility and legitimacy of this potential business opportunity. These are complaints based upon charges as made in the initial report above, that occurred on recorded telephone conversations, written correspondence, e-mails, video taped seminar presentations, and corroboration of many Nouveau Riche scholars who were all deceived and misrepresented. It is only natural for those who are trying to find additional down lines in their Nouveau Riche organizations to try and defend the company while dismissing complaints as non-factual, baseless whininess, fabricated by ignorant fools. When these charges first surfaced at the executive level within Nouveau Riche it was made clear that JP did not want this made public. He does not want watchdog groups or regulatory agencies looking under the sheets. The issue is not whether somebody in Utah was given the opportunity to purchase the starter kit for $75 and has since invested in some or all of the products and has purchased some rental homes that have a passive income stream of $1000 per year. In all MLMs and networking schemes there are always some who make money selling friends and family or in this case buying rental houses. This complaint was designed to help the many others thinking about Nouveau Riche to think twice about it before jumping in pursuant to a misrepresented, fabricated, and deceptive sales pitches stating a 6 figure income within 6-12 months and a 100% ROI in 60-90 days with an investment of $17,000 - $18,000 requiring only a computer, telephone, and fax machine. This is not a legitimate long distance or cold market opportunity. This is a warm market; leverage your friends and family, kind of an opportunity. Your friends and family are probably not going to tell you that the price charged for the products is too high!! THE ISSUE IS: IF THOSE OF US THAT WERE MISLEAD AND DECIEVED HAD BEEN TOLD THE TRUTH WE WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN INVOLVED IN THE FIRST PLACE!! For those in Utah and AZ who want to use negative rhetoric to accost those of us trying to protect people by presenting the facts: 1) Spend $75 for a starter kit instead of $15,685 plus expenses as the entry requirement for Nouveau Riche, 2) Will be told this is a business opportunity requiring no sales skills or experience instead of an income opportunity requiring sales skills, 3) Will be told that the business has an inverse expense relationship with success, i.e. that business expenses go down as the business grows in success, 4) Will be told that you don't need a circle of influence (family and friends) to build this business, 5) Will be told that you can succeed with a cold market approach to this business (long distance with a telephone, and computer), 6) Will be told that you can expect a 60-90 day ROI and a 6-figure income stream in 6 - 12 months, 7) Work this part time with 10 - 20 hours a week 8) AND WILL GET NUMEROUS 3-WAY CONFERENCE CALLS WITH OTHER NOUVEAU RICHE SCHOLARS DECLARING THESE THINGS TO BE TRUE, then go ahead and knock yourselves out trying to give legitimacy to this questionable marketing scheme at the expense of the many that were not as fortunate. Everyone I know that is involved in these complaints has busted their asses trying to make this work. They worked Nouveau Riche full time, attended all the Monday Chancellors calls that last until midnight EST, attended all the Saturday Training calls, attended all the team calls on Mondays nights before the Chancellors call, talked to many people about this opportunity, and more. The average investment by the complaints is over $30,000. I would bet that many in Utah have not invested a third that much. That's a lot of advertising, tradeshows, buying leads, seminars, etc. None of the people who are involved in the complaints entered Nouveau Riche expecting something for nothing. What we expected was that all of the presentations, 3-ways, sales pitches were credible and factual. Clearly we were deceived! As for the notion that Pat Gillespie is no longer with the company, that is an outright lie! Pat was on the Saturday morning training call (1/31/2004) as usual. When the Corporate Trainers are responsible for the deception and fabrications that tells you a lot about the integrity of the company! I would think the people in Utah would get their facts straight before accosting others and portraying them as ignorant, lazy fools, with no basis for a complaint other than some vain attempt to fabricate the facts...in legal circles, its not slander if its factual!!! Maybe the real fools are the ones coming out of the woodwork defending this deal! If these negative folks in Utah were in the shoes of the many who have been deceived, they would be singing a different tune. FOR THOSE THINKING ABOUT INVESTING IN A BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, CHECK THE BBB, CONSIDER THESE COMPLAINTS, AND THEN GO FIND ONE THAT DOES NOT HAVE THIS KIND OF NEGATIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH IT. WHY TAKE THE CHANCE? IF YOU DECIDE TO GO FORWARD, NEVER LET IT BE SAID THAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW THE DOWNSIDE!

Nouveau Riche Deceptive Selling Practices..THE FACTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES

Rip off is a far cry from the truth, is not a business opportunity

I am involved with Nouveau Riche. I have been since they launched the company in December 2002. I have been active in the company now for over a year. Nouveau Riche is not a business opportunity. It is an income opportunity. Nouveau Riche is a direct sales company. They provide great real estate education products and solutions. Their products are very competitively priced for the industry. This is an opportunity for people to start their own business, and become an investor. Before Nouveau Riche I had my own construction company. After working for eight years and getting very burned out, I needed a change. I was working 60 hour weeks and just being able to pay my bills. Even worse was the fact that I was seeing my little family less and less. Since Nouveau Riche, I now work half as much and have been able to make twice as much money. I have started acquiring properties that are all profitable income properties. My passive income is now over 1000 dollars a month from these investments. I have seen many other people come in and use the products to make money investing in real estate. I have also see many people market Nouveau Riche products and make a great deal of money. I have decided to do both. Nouveau Riche is a dual opportunity that is unbelievable. Make money marketing their products, and take what is left over to invest in real estate. And with the amount of education you recieve through their poduct, you invest correctly. I have seen so many people come into Nouveau Riche and expect that someone else will do it for them. They want others to hand hold them to great success. I have come to the realization that if it is to be, then it is up to me. If I succeed at any endeavor I do not want someone else to take my credit. By the same token if I fail, it would be equally grievous for me to blame someone else. There are no guarantees in life. My experience and what I have noticed in others is that those that take action, are the ones that succeed. Nouveau Riche is simply a vehicle one can use to achieve success. It is ultimately up to each and every individual. I have seen this company over the past year spent countless energy trying to improve it's products, services, and opportunities for their colleagues. The leaders spend their own money and time in an effort to help educate, train, and give support to assist in colleagues continued success. They have a sense of community that is unlike any other I have ever seen before. Very rarely is it the people that are content and satisfied that speak and try to be heard. Generally it is the person that believes they have been wronged that meke the most noise. All I can say for those reading this and other commentary on Nouveau Riche is that you have to find out for yourself what is best for you. Then take action. Wishing you all the best in your search.
