Novel Cafe Koreatown Los Angeles Bad Service, Spit in Food, Arrogant Servers, No Response From Owner Los Angeles California
Don't bother! After a horrible experience my brother noticed what appeared to be a large wad of SPIT in my dish!! I HAD been an almost daily customer of this cafe for the better part of a year, until this past Sunday. This time the waitstaff showed itself not only to be inept and extraordinarily RUDE, but they pushed ALL the serving off on some poor new bus person, and at the end of the day they never DID get my order right! They acted like I should be grateful that I got any food at all- and that they "discounted" my meal ticket for an item I NEVER received after I sent back the wrong dish TWICE... (they only took $2 off a $17 dish!) and to top it all off the management and owner do NOT value decent repeat business, because they likewise refused to acknowledge the obvious mistake, and thought that "discounting" an item that I paid for, but never received, was an acceptable practice, instead of apologizing for the horrible way we were treated! I'll never go here again. All I wanted from the beginning to the end was the item I ordered AND PAID FOR. I not only never got the item, but was abused by the waitstaff and received instead a litany of eye rolling and attitude. I've always known them to be lazy and have a really long wait time even for coffee. But now I realize that the only person of ANY value, up to and including the owner of this joint, is the bus person! Catty, rude, and as my observant brother, who works as a chef out of state observed- it looks like they spat in my food!
