NSW Lotteries, OZ Lotto ripoff Lotteries. Fake check received in mail. Seattle Washington
We received a check from NSW lotteries along with a letter that said we'd won $650,000. I checked here and found nothing, and I also went to their website and it looked real.
We cashed the check and allowed 24hrs to clear, then we called the woman whom we had contaced from the letter, and she gave us an address to send $3500 via western union to, saying it was for insurance purposes, and misc fees. They sent us the money so Okay.
The bank said it cleared and we sent the money. We called the woman back and got no answer. Calls since have not been answered, either.
The bank calls today and says that infact, the check did not clear, and now we owe the bank $4500.
