hi i know how you feel about nuvell. they are very annoying. they call our house 10-20x a day. i mean they call so much i dont even bother to get up to answer the phone when it rings. if i do pick up it will take at least 1 minute before either a human voice or a computer voice talks. its annoying saying "hello, hello, hello" and nobody talk. my dads the one with the truck and they call his company cell and my house phone all day. hes like one month behind on his payment because he was nice enough to put his car payment on my suv. it seems like these people have no other business stuff to do but to call and harass people all day long until i guess they close for the day.

The best way to solve this would be to not be late. If you were behind the payment cycle before you traded in, the dealer probably did drag their feet and waited around until it was convenient to send the payoff. Many dealers can and do take this long, and it is your legal and contractual responsibility to pay the payment until the day the payoff is recieved. There's no way out of this one other than to pay on time, and if you must be late, at least make payments when you've traded in the vehicle. Until the title is sent, it's your responsibility.

Many times an auto dealership will not pay off your loan until the new one is funded. You are responsible for payment on the loan until your payoff is received. The financial institution has every right to collect their debt in accordance with your contract. It sounds like you may have been past or very near your due date upon trade in and when your current loan fell past due, the collections calls began. Again, in a fair attempt to collect a debt. Best practice would be to make a final payment to ensure that your loan is current while the dealerships do their thing. Any money that is payed over the payoff is refunded to you, the customer. This way your credit and your sanity are protected. This same sort of situation happened to my sister, so I am speaking from a lesson learned.
