Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
In October 2002, we purchased our first brand new vehicle from Ray Skillman GMC in Indianapolis and it was financed with Nuvell. Throughout the term of our contract, we never had any issues with Nuvell, and were never more than 10 days past due on our account.

On July 21, 2007, we traded in the vehicle we financed with Nuvell to Ray Skillman Ford in Greenwood, IN. At the time of the trade, the payoff amount quoted to me online and to Ray Skillman Ford was approximately $3600.00. The payoff quote was good for 20 days.

Nuvell began calling us on August 2, because we did not make our regular monthly payment. They became very upset when I informed them that we no longer had possession of the vehicle, and informed me that according to my contract, I was still responsible for the vehicle, and that I needed to let them know where it was. I let them know the name of the gentleman we worked with at Ray Skillman's and the phone number.

They continued to call, and I let them know that I would no longer accept their telephone calls and sent them a cease and desist letter via certified mail and also faxed them a copy of the cease and desist letter. The calls continued. We no longer answer the phone when Nuvell calls.

On August 15, they sent us a letter letting us know that they were demanding that I surrender the vehicle as I had not paid according to my contract. They knew that I had traded the vehicle in. I called them after hours and let them know how idiotic it was for them to send a repossesion letter when the knew very well, the vehicle had been traded in and that they had accepted the payoff check sent by Ray Skillman Ford.

Now, since we will not accept their phone calls, they see fit to contact anyone we may have listed as a reference on our original credit application. I have let anyone know that we may have listed that this may occur.

Nuvell says we owe them $239.16. I say we don't, but they fail to grasp the concept. They received the payoff on August 6.

I would never recomend that someone accept financing with Nuvell.
