Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Today I had a visitor at my doorstep that handed me a flyer that said TODAY ONLY. It was a free deep carpet cleaning that would be done by a business that was just getting started in town. We accepted the offer after the salesman told us that there would be no catches, only tell people about the company to spread the word.

About 1/2 hour later two different men showed up at the door. One, the manager, and another the demo guy. This ended up being a Kirby sales team and it says absolutely nothing about Kirby on their flyer anywhere. The company name at the bottom of the flyer is NWDC LLC. Being a young couple in our first house, we had no idea what we were supposed to do so we let him do his thing.

The sales man explained that they were from Portland, Oregon. We told him that there was no possible way that we could afford one of these as we are in a very tight situation financially. He was on and off of the phone about 15 times, texting, talking, and even sending pictures of my son running the vacuum. The man really wanted to do a mattress test and we told him no because we had a baby in the room.

Three hours later it was finally done. The man was on his phone more in the last few minutes texting his boss. We explained how bad we felt about having him in the house but we really could not afford the vacuum and he seemed understanding. If we had known that these were kirby dealers right off the bat, we would've told them to go away. They mislead us with the flyer and throwing out the "no catches" just a new business that needs good feedback from customers.

Next came the manager. He came back in the house to say,"Hey we are supposed to leave without the vacuum." We responded well, we know that and wish we could afford it but there is no possible way and we are sorry. We explained that we had no idea that they were kirby dealers and if we would've known we would've shooed them away from the start. He insisted angrily that he made it very clear before he got started. He then proceeded to spill all of the dirt that the demo guy had cleaned up down my stairs (we didn't notice this until they had left.)

After reading another report about a woman concerned about them casing her house, I remember the following:

I remember the demo guy asking me if I worked. My brother came in and said that the first sales guy walked up to him and asked him what he was doing while he was in the garage. The demo guy also really wanted to do a mattress test in our bedroom but we did not want him to. He took some pictures with his phone and texted a lot. We are now going to buy some deadbolts tonight and look for a cheap alarm system for our garage.

Actually, we ask what you do for work so that we can find out what kind of a loan you'll probably receive. We are trained to try to only get what the company calls "A" loans. It's a joke. You can't tell just because of someone's job or house or car, what on earth kind of loan they'll get. That's credit... How They Pay Their Bills.

As for the guy in the garage. That's weird.

And lastly, the mattress test is made so that the person can see exactly what is coming out of their mattress, be disgusted by it, and consequently buy a super expensive vacuum that they really cannot afford. I personally only did one demo because the idea of intruding upon someone's bedroom made me uncomfortable. But at the same time, these people did trust you enough to allow you in the house, however that works. It's a hard line. I asked once to use the bathroom and the lady said, "as long as you don't go through the cupboards." I was totally shocked that she would even suggest such a thing. I'm a d**n vaccum cleaner saleswoman, not a freaking tampon theif!

I'm sorry they hassled you. I'm sorry to admit I worked for them. And worst of all, I'm sorry to say that even I got scammed. They won't pay me what they owe me now!
