nycbigrooms.com, 421 Seventh Avenue, Midtown: Advance Fee Sham Warning

nycbigrooms.com operates under many website names: a/k/a greatrooms.org; largerooms.org; nycheaprent.com; nycbigrooms.com; nycityrooms.com; nycmovetoday.com; nycrentnow.com; nycweeklyrooms.com; roomsinbrooklyn.com; roomsinharlem.com, unlicensed scams run by Modesto Esterlin Martinez *** to file a complaint, contact New York State, Department of State @ 212-417-5790 or the NYS Attorney General Consumer Protection and Frauds @ 212-416-8000. Martinez operates as an unlicensed apartment sharing agent (no license, lost it in 2005), takes advance fees from room seekers. Stay away from 421 Seventh Avenue, Suite 1005, in Midtown, Manhattan.

Fair Housing Testing Results *** nycityrooms.com Discriminates Against Blacks, Hispanics

My name is Leaf Porter, testing coordinator of the Fair Housing Council of New Jersey. Our fair housing testing of nycityrooms.com revealed the following: nycityrooms.com is not a registered business with the State of New York;

they are not an incorporated business in New YorkState, nycityrooms.com is an illegal business which is why they accept only cash as a form of payment;

nycityrooms.com is operating as an unlicensed apartment sharing agent in violation of Article 12-C of the New York State Real Property Law;

their employees discriminate against Blacks, Puerto Ricans, homosexuals, etc.. Modesto Esterlin Martinez [Dominican male] of nycityrooms.com charges desperate room seekers advance fees, doesn't find housing as promised, then does not refund the advance fee in violation of New YorkState law.‎

Here’s the nycityrooms.com business model: Martinez and his employee Jazmine, collect an advance fee, then the victim is dispatched to AmericanPlaza @ 3834 Broadway, in uptown Manhattan, and that agency wants another $150.00 up front fee. Downright fraud!
